View Full Version : Chairman Mondello Loses control of elected troops

Party boy

North Hempstead Town Councilman Angelo Fererra is a man operating outside of the partys control, thumbing his nose at the party and even ridiculing the party at public meetings. Did the chairman authorize a four year term Ferrera proposed for the democrat town clerk in NH, maybe he wants it in TOB too?

How about a 33K raise for the "D" supervisor and 10K raises for town board members, ya he voted no with a wink and a nod, a man of princible would have declined his raise but then again Angelo is an unprincibled disloyal shallow minded political lightweight and the voters have already validated this when he got 30+ percent in his failed bid to become town supervisor despite spending a quater of a million dollars.

Why doesn't the party put someone in the seat that A) really wants and can to do the job. B) someone could be the nucleus of a republican resurgance in NH not Fererra who bosts about being asked to run as a dem by Richard Middlemark and who has confided in some that he regrets not jumping on the opperunity. Who should be suprised after all he brags about never being a committeman and rarely attends party functions.

Mondello with decisions like this it is no wonder the county is firmly in democrat hands.

Go back to the democrats posting board where you belong you yellow skinned hypocritcal beggar - how pathetic and wretched you seem - walllowing in obvious self pity. Look around jerk because the rest of us real republicans are very excited about this race and united behind Mondello because that's what it's going to take to win. We aren't so stupid as you are to have a war with someone who isn't running himself for office - there are too many democrats to take down this November and none of them will be easy. So go choke on your own horse manure you bumbling snivelling wretch of a toad because we aren't buying your crap this time around. People like you cost us the 2001 election and we'll have none of you naysaying drags on board this time. You'll be stricken as you stand - and we WILL find you out. Shut up go home and stay there. We don't want you.

gee you clearly do not understand nassau county voters if you did you would not blame Bruce Bents loss on others or don't you remember Mondello got behind (folded) to the unknown candidate. With the venom in your statement I can not help to think you are very close to the tired and stale leader, how much do you earn from the party and if it is more than one dollar a year it is more than you could earn in the private sector #ick head!

Too much partying

I think you are still wasted from your college days. First there's a complaint Mondello is useless and then there's the revelation that the party's candidate lost because Mondello wasn't behind him. Which is it? It can't be both. If Mondello is useless it wouldn't matter if he supports a candidate or not as long as the soldiers did their job. But they didn't. If you are blaming Mondello for your candidate losing, then obviously you are saying you need him. His power is supreme, regardless of what his soldiers do. Either way, it's stupid. Nothing will work unless there is a leader- and his soldiers stand behind him. Mondello is the leader and he's not going anywhere, especially not before we get a crack at Suozzi. Get used to it. If people like you want to stand on the sidelines, or do what some of you did and foolishly supported Suozzi - then what do you expect will happen? You are the one who doesn't seem to understand - and the funniest part about that - you still probably don't get it.

partys over

The previous post may want to re read the post he commented on. For his information you measure the strength of the Mondellos leadership by the margin of his victorys STRIKE ONE. Second while Mondello was "publicly" supporting Bent one could question the committment Mondello really made. Let me also state Bent sucked and was doomed from day one, the day he did not make the relitive commitment Bloomberg did that year to win, in other words open his check book. Dr Luntz forecasted election day results long before the hammer dropped on post ave that year, it all goes back to weak and ineffectual leadership, it is not 1970 anymore we need a new generation of leadership and certainly not the big baby at TOH town board, he should really stop moaping and belly-aching at the meetings and show Murray the respect that office deserves.

Councilman Fererra is just a prime and latest example of how everbody including Balboni have become independant contractors , in this respect its not 1970 anymore it is chaos.

The people on the ground work hard so do not blame them they have been misdirected, demoralized and need a refresher coarse to learn how to be effective in this new environment elections take place in.

Remember when Steinbrenner said he had to leave the bronx because attendance was faultering, with a few wins that all changed so maybe if the leadership did its job you would not be able to find a space at levittown hall on rally night. Oh and by the way who is going to reel in Fererra in, or might we be better of being totaly out of NH town hall so a supervisor candidate could make the case for a watch dog "balance" candidate?

If we only are going to have one R in TNH and lets face it that is all we will have because if you think Triono is beatible in a CE year in NH please make those drugs avalible to others at HQ, don't we deserve a real R and not this sell out phony, if mondello will not dump him maybe we should do it ourselfs. The southern tier will rise again.....

Troiano is most definitly beatable this year, members of his own community do not care for his unprofessional juvenial style of governing. This isn't the school board, and he is not running the show in town hall despite what he tells people.
A decent GOP candidate like Westbury Village trustee Peter Cavallaro would ensure a GOP victory in that seat. Remember Balboni wins in a highly Democratic district, because of who he is and his personal style of governing. A similar Republican could do the same thing up there in district #1 and it could go Republican.
Who would have ever thought we Republicans would have a majority on the Long Beach City Council, stranger things have happend. A GOP resurgance this year would not surprise me.
