I think we saw with suozzi when a guy runs for a higher office he tends to ignore his current duties...

Time to get the hispanic media involve. Now it's time to bring back his all time favorite joke about the 'illegals in the kitchen' out in the open. I did not forget how you insulted my tio Jose was working in the back that day who is legal, but you assumed he was not with your stupid jok. Levy should stay cooping and hide out for awhile that illegal joke is going to come back to hunt him.
platform????

levy, outside of suffolk is not a viable politician.
He attached himself to the anti-scpd legions and that was the only reason he was elected. Now with the contract coming due, and a deal thats the equivalent of Gaffneys last, no one is really going to be too happy with his smokescreen
Outside of suffolk, no one really cares too much about scpd.
can't remember

ny is a big state. levy is a very small man with a huge ego. no one even knows who the fuck he is once you get off this shitty little island. suffolk politicians are so self centered and full of themselves, they think they can carry the votes to become the governor. people who live outside this island can't stand anyone from down here, let alone vote for a little fag with a freddie mercury mustache to run the state, and is hated in albany.

Check out the Suffolk County Board of Election web site. The man has over 4 million dollars in his campaign fund. He has plundered the Suffolk County Workers by taking 2 paychecks from them (with the approval of their unions) while showing a surplus of funds that he now has to give back to the towns and all the while continues to spend our tax dollars on his pet projects and salaries for his ever increasing political hack jobs. No, he has done enough damage to Suffolk County. We don't need him up in Albany, Brian Foley has that spot and one idiot is all we can afford.

Long Island politicos are unpopular w/ upstate voters, just ask Lazio. If levy plans to bang his anti-union tough guy drum to get himself a statewide office, he will find statewide union opposition similar to his battle with SCPBA.
Although I'd lmao if he became guv, kicked his Dep scabs off the highways and replaced THEM with troopers. :)

You think hed send troopers to Suffolk? Never happen. It was a stupid argument to begin with, and if he was on the other end he would never send troopers to Suffolk.

Well then I would expect him to pay the County nicely for covering the State roads

He's on news12 right now patting himself on the back...must be nice to have a buddy that owns a TV station and newspaper... trouble is the poll they conducted shows that 51% of Long Islanders wouldnt vote for him. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Once levy moved on, assuming he could, he would continue to tax the snot out of l.i.
No one really thinks hes going to continue sucking up to the taxpayers here ...

He's long soaked up attention and controversy for his outspoken stances on illegal immigration, confronting elected Latino Democrats from Brentwood to Washington Heights.
"At first I was shocked," said Assemb. Adriano Espaillat (D-Manhattan) said, when he heard of Levy's exploration. "The tone, under his watch, has been an embarrassment for the rest of the state with regards to immigration. . . . But then I thought through it, and decided it would probably not be a bad thing for him to run. It would guarantee that thousands and thousands of immigrants who are now U.S. citizens will come out to vote against him."
Assemb. Phil Ramos (D-Central Islip) said, "No one can win a Democratic primary in New York State without the support of New York City. And I'm convinced New York City would be opposed to Steve Levy as a bloc."

There are state roads in every police jurisdiction in the state that are not covered by state troopers. Its an unreasonable request. You have many more state roads in Suffolk than rt 495 band rt 27. This is what made Levys request so laughable in Albany, and why it was obviously a shot at SCPD. If you look Suffolk County is still covering those roads. And with the year of messing around trying to get the Sheriff on the right track in covering those highways we lost valuable state grants in the process because they were unused.
But you are right, if Levy was true to his word, which he is not, than he should compensate Suffolk (as well as every other jurisdiction in N.Y.) for covering the two state roads in 495, and 27, and the hundreds of miles of other state roads that Suffolk PD covers.
This is why Levy is a liar, and a man (i use that term loosely) that should not be trusted to run the state, and I hope should not get voted in the Suffolk CE position again.

If they make it easy for these guys, more will come. I am all for LEGAL immigration, but when you enter the country illegally, you have no rights here. It's plain and simple. These men can use the church shelters for the extreme cold nights, but that is an extremely short term solution. They need to go back to the country they are legally from.
This is great. First, at the beginning of the week, with plenty of media coverage, Suffolk County Social Services and County Police went into the tent city in Huntington with the orders to clear everyone out. The property owner was brought in so that these squatters could be arrested for trespassing on private property if they refused to leave. The Second Pct had officers assigned to make repeated checks of the area all night and day to prevent the return of these individuals. Low and behold, Rev Ramirez makes a stink, skewsday changes it's tune, and what do you know... Word comes down to the pct on Thursday night that the police were now to stay away from the area, and let the homeless return without being disturbed. Seems somebody in Yaphank didn't want any bad press about homeless illegal aliens being dealt with by the police.
Funny how that's right about the time our illustrious CE Steve Levy was up in Albany testing the water for his run at Gov.
