I feel it is time to speak up. I used to come on here to see what was said, maybe get a few chuckles or even possibly some decent information; however the last few months have progressively gotten worse and worse. The way I see it is... ALL of the active members of Law Enforcement that come on here and post on these bogus threads have lost your way. Law Enforcement, be it PD, Sheriffs, Corrections, Port Authority PD, MTA, ENCON...whatever you fall in were always a close knit family, hence "The Thin Blue Line" Most of us grew up in a family that was either law enforcement or had a great deal of respect for law enforcement. We grew up knowing that you kept your dirty laundry inside the locker room, the Precinct, or Jail. Since when did it become acceptable to come on a public forum and name names, or put down another officer because he doesn’t wear the same patch as you?

I would truly like to believe that when push comes to shove if one of us went down LOD, everyone else would be there for support. Think back a few years’ guys and remember when all you wanted to do was "get on the JOB". It didn't matter where, it only mattered that you were part of the law enforcement community. If your beef with someone else is that bad, be a MAN and take it to him, don't come on to a public website and air sh*t that has no business being public.

I hope all of you regardless of your respective agency have a Happy and Safe Holidays. To those of you working as I will be... may it be a quiet tour.

Well said, I would encourage all deputies to refrain from posting on this site. Let the haters and trolls beat each other up. Leave us out of it.

Happy and Safe Holidays to all!

I agree. The public should not be made aware they are being protected by self centered morons and idiots.

FYI the majority of us are not self centered nor morons, nor idiots...we took these jobs to protect you and your family, and in turn should be shown some degree of respect...especially when many before us have laid down our lives for our communities and wont be able to be home with our loved ones while you can. Save your generalizations of us as a group.

You are correct. Though will you disagree that the majority of cops you speak of, will go to great lengths, including lying under oath, to protect an idiot or moron cop?

Yes I will disagree. I can honestly say that I would never lie under oath, and am certain the men and women that I work with also would never lie under oath to protect someone that is in the wrong.

Lie under oath and go to great lengths to protect an "idiot or moron cop"? Why the hell would I put my job, family and home at risk to protect someone that has done something wrong? Why would I risk getting sucked into something that I had nothing to do with and possibly go to prison? How could I possibly benefit from that? It's his problem, not mine. You watch way to much TV and too many movies. It really doesn't work that way in spite of what you've heard and think.

The "public" is generally higher in self centered morons and idiots then we are.
Otherwise we'd be out of a job.
