Alfano is too much in love with himself to risk losing. I'm sticking with Jack.
Who now?

Jack's not running.

Tom is a nice guy, and well liked in his district, but I don't see how he gets the nod for Congress when his Conservative Party rating was 20% in the last session. For those keeping score, that's only 5 points higher than Scozzafava!
Tom has a sweet thing going in the Assembly. Nobody's taking his district from him - even in a bad year like 2008 was - he's free to make money practicing law, and he seems to enjoy the political lifestyle. So why screw up a good thing?
Here's a question though. Does the Conservative Party punish Tom in 2010 for his fiscal and social liberalism the same way they went after Skelos a few years ago? It seems to have worked in the case of Dean. His Conservative Party rating went up after he lost the line. Mike Balboni also almost lost the CP line the same year that Dean did. Apparently he had a personal meeting with Mike Long in a diner and begged him not to pull it from him. Then he went and stabbed everyone in the back and resigned after getting re-elected. What a tool.

I would like to respond if I may. Tom Alfano will not get the conservative endorsement under no circumstances. If he stays, the conservative party will look to endorse a democrat or run a candidate.

The Conservative Party's AD leader in Alfano's district has pledged to deliver his party's endorsement for Alfano just as he cleared a smooth path for John Ciotti in 2007 and 2009. He regards Alfano as a ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak sky of lackluster GOP legislators.

There's no way that the Conservative Party would ever endorse Alfano for Congress. In fact, there's going to be a big fight as to whether he'll get the Conservative Party endorsement in 2010 for his current elected office.
His legislative rating, which is computed the NYS Conservative Party, is so low that there are some DEMOCRATS that are rated higher than him.
If I were Tom Alfano, I would start looking for a new job in the private sector. Maybe him and Bogsted could start their own consulting firm. It'd be the place to be for political lightweights and losers.

Loser, last time I checked, he won by large margins in a bad area. Oh wait, he actually represented people and they liked it. I'm sure a loser like the guy above doesn't like that.
State you name and run for office. If not, you talk big for a coward behind a keyboard.
Tom wins because he is in the district and works hard for the people.
Sad people like yourself don't get it.
Any balls?

When we get done notifying the people of his voting record on social issues and taxes, he will sink like a rock. Don't believe it, please stand by.
Scott, stop posting for your liberal arrogant boss.
PS: Pat H was right in his opinion about you. He was ultimately proven right.

I would rather go with a proven winner, than a no-name guy would raised money from turncoat Spector. Alfano is a proven vote-getter. Scaturdo is a, well nobody quite sure except for his man-club.
Noticed he hasn't taken a stand on a number of Social issues yet, wonder why?
Heard Frank spent many nights out in DC, in a certain part of town.
say what!!
