When will it ever end? They sure know how to play the system.
U.S. District Court Judge Arthur D. Spatt this week ordered the police department to promote Felicia Collins, 33, and to pay her back wages she would have earned as a detective since the May 19 jury verdict. Spatt also ordered her personnel files to be purged of derogatory and retaliatory information.
"I am hopeful that this case will make it easier for victims to come forward and galvanize this administration to finally implement changes in policy that are long overdue," said Suffolk police Det. Andre Collins, Felicia Collins' husband and president of Suffolk County Minorities Involved in Law Enforcement.

I'm not familiar with the whole case, but I don't see how she was a "victim". Most POs with 11 years are not detectives, and considering she spent a good part of her career running for Sheriff , I'm not sure where she got her qualifications to be a detective herself. Oh wait, I know.............

Guys, would you rather win a lawsuit for $200,000.00 plus like she did and heres's the catch.....your her! Or would you rather be yourself and still make over $100,000.00 a year and do the right thing by not faking line of duties. Oh yeah, if your her your married to him! I don't know about you but I will gladly give up the $200,000.00 to not have been born in her body with her personality. God gave her the lawsuit because "he" felt bad for what he created.

Amazin, 11 years on, filed the suit 3 years ago. Let me guess when the first member of her class made Detective and she was still in uniform, fighting with her co workers, and she filed a law suit. It must just be because she is black that she was not the first one from her class promoted to Det. Isn't it obvious because; I'm sure her Police sense, her activity,(Arrests), and ability to get along with her co-workers are on par with few small percentage of other Cops from her class to be promoted to Detective. How many of us make Detective, 10% maybe. Let us see if she ranked in the top 10% of anything, other then Filing law suits against the County.
I can see this will only encourage other Cops to work hard and someday maybe you too can sue the County and get an unjustified promotion.

All of you sound like crybabies...Wah wah wah wah!.
This is oh so typical of men to piss and moan about something like this and just because she's a woman.
And your crybaby antics are even more prevaliant because she's not your wife who got a piece of the gravy train.
So what if you've been passed over because your just as incompentent as her, suck it up. It wasn't your turn.
In the future, just keep rolling the patrol car thru the carwash with the windows up, then maybe the higher ups will notice you too.
By the way, besides the public footing the majority of the bill, how much did that Federal lawsuit filed by dismissed pregant cops cost you, too.
''This is oh so typical of men to piss and moan about something like this and just because she's a woman. ''
Oh i thought it was about a unqualified person using its race and gender to get a position they dont deserve. If you never worked around her or in our field, you dont know what your talking about. I looked her activity, ie arrests, up for the past few years, decent, maybe enough to get her out of patrol, with the time on the job,(10 years), but not nearly a top 10% in the county. I'm know several people myself included who have more activity, far more. There are officers out there dragging in 100 bodies a year who will never see a gold badge because of quota babies like her.

The liberals strike again. Everyone just takes it sitting down because no body will call it what it is. Reverse discrimination. (Quota promotions).

Don't wish her on the Third. What did those guys ever do to you?
And ya'll claimed I was lookin to milk the taxpayers.....all I was lookin for was JUSTICE. But I have learned there is no such thing.
COUNTY LIABILITIES....lets see we have rapists, child abusers, women abusers, stalkers, liers, angry folks who want to bypass the typical way to get promoted, thru blood sweat and tears. Ha and these are the ones we're supposed to trust?!?!
Bunch of regular Bernie Keriks.
My father always used to say the further east you go, the more ignorant hillbillies you'll find. He finally left Suffolk, as will I.
