View Full Version : Parola turns up the Heat on Dem Petitions

Looks like Parola is taking the best defense is a good offense approach by having Pat Friedman Foil the petitions of Denenberg's buddies, including those of Legislator Dave Mejias. Does he really think Dillon can possibly pursue more Dems brought to him by Friedman without first going after the faithful. This is going to get a lot uglier before it goes away. Good thing Dems have no b*lls.

Stop the bull shit, Pat Friedmen is under no obligation to furnish Parola with anything, since FOIL does not apply to her, but rather only applies to informantion requested from government agencies.

Noone said that Friedman is under an obligation to furnish Parola with anything. She does so willingly, as they were partners in te bring down Denenberg campaign. It was Parola who loudly berated Dillon at a GOP Executive Committee meeting, and he was in constant contact with Friedman and Pendelton. If you check his cell phone records, you'll find calls to the DA's office as well.

Why is Parola in a panic mode. Because his wife has bad signatures, his secretary has bad signatures, and virtually everyone in his zone has bad signatures. Moreover, if he didn't push the da's office with his constant badgering this whole thing would have been dropped, and countless Republican heads wouldnot be on the chopping block, because the Dems have no balls and would not have pushed the signature issue except in defense of Denenberg. It his fault and solely his fault that Erin, Norm, Ed and Mark are being dragged through the mud. The weasel pushed too far. Tha'ts why Parola is in the panic mode.

What a sad state of fear you democrats are in to make up such crap. Parola has nothing to do with what's going on against Meijas, Gold and Stonehill. The same people who went after Denninberg are the ones who requested those petitions because those are friends of Dennie's and these 3 losers are out to destroy him. Who are they? They're DEMOCRATS! You people keep making this out to be a tit for tat thing. It's not. The Republicans aren't playing this game. They had nothing to do with anything. It's your OWN PEOPLE WHO ARE CHEWING AT THEIR OWN BABIES! Democrats going after Democrats. What else is new? It's a wonder how you get anybody in your club. You can't trust them as far as you can throw them and when any of you gets any power - you hire NYC and Suffolk county people for all the jobs instead of giving to your own local supporters. Then you go after the Republicans to try and muddy up the water so you can blame them. Your own legislative majority leader and Democratic Chairperson are running around apologizing all over the place to all the Republicans because their own people - Democrats - are way out of control. Stop throwing around stupid lies. You don't know what your talking about.

Hey Fred, thou dost protest too much. We know you're in this up to your eyebrows, and that not only you but others from Post Avenue have been palling around with the three lunatics as you call them, and that's putting the heat on the rank and file. Apparently the DA has your number and that of most of your friends. Memories are long in politics freddy, and your outburst at the executive committee meeting was widely reported. Don't expect any special treatment for Lorraine, "Little" Steve and Ella. Besides Freddy, Bob P has a mouth the size of Montana, and he can't help but brag who his friends are. He's fingered you Freddy and lots of others too. Babye

Parola, Dillon take them all down GOP and Dems.

The DA should look at who researched the Rep peitions for Stonehill. Possible a certain closed-door Dem office at the Nassau BOE.

What's funny is it was done under orders of the chairman who is close to Stonehill. They do the work at the BOE, they elist Stonehill to file a complaint, and the Chair publically calls for the effort to stop. The very effort he initiated. What a Joke.

Why did he call on Stonehill to retract his effort publically. He knows if questioned by the DA Stonehill will crack and admit who was really behind the effort.

Who does he think he's fooling.

This is what happens with the Dems in charge - they can't handle it and let their brief and passing power go straight to their dicks. First time in 40 years they can be considered a major party and they go screwing it all up. What a laughing shame.

Who would want to belong to a party, where a job is withheld because a loyal party member takes steps to help another party member who is in a difficult situation. If the man was up for a job, he should get the job. If the job is truly being withheld, and I suppose only JJ and not a Knowing lawyergt, knows for sure, then poor David Stonehill would be within his rights to produce emails (assuming such emails were sent and still exist) - showing that the Party Chair was in the loop at all times. If I were in Stonehill's shoes and had or had access to such an email- which I would bet the house was sent - I'd put it on the front page of Newsday. I think that if I were a party leader, I'd be a lot nicer to Mr. Stonehill - He may well hold the keys to the throne, or be able to obtain the keys, and if pushed to the limits, which may not be as far away at onegt thinks, he might actually use them. I'm sure I'd be reaching my limits if I'd been promised a job and then had it yanked away. A doormat can only be a doormat for so long, and one party's doormat could be another party's persian carpet, and at this point, I dont think anyone could blame David Doormat for taking care of himself, dismissing the complaint, turning over what he has (assuming he anything), and taking a nice cushy TOH job, while at the same time severely harming those who haven't fed him.

I'd never work for DEMS
01-25-2005, 12:52 AM
How could you work for the Dems? I'm a life long registered Dem - follow the crap - do nothing and will continue to do nothing. They file everything away in their little journal books and the minute they get bored they stab you in the back and watch you bleed simply for vindication of some perceived wrong they think you're guilty of . Nope. I'd never work for the Dems.

After the press releases Dillon's been giving to Newsday dissing Pataki and Gulotta, one has to wonder what side he's really on and what he's thinking now?

03-21-2005, 11:50 AM
How is this playing out? If she's found liable, is King's daughter going to cop a plea?

Don't forget how Dillon attached our minority legislative leader too recently because while the overall crime rate might be down, the petty crimes are being replaced with an increase in sex crimes and major category burgulary. I hear that kind of lashing happens with the onset of old age dementia though. But it does make one wonder whose side any of these so-called old guard republicans are on. It's sounding like they are all cutting their own deals and the hell with the party. I hope that's not true. Because that's a Suozzi administration type thing best left to him and his kind.

Turn up the heat on this

There's other issues to turn up the heat on. Dillon won't though.

people reporting working hours on their timesheets even when they were home sleeping happens in every department by at least one Suozzi appointee. Suozzi's people- republican, democrat, nyc residents, nassau residents, or folk residents have taken the term "no-show" to a new level. This ripping off of taxpayers is a disgusting practice and worse now compared to any former Republican administration. Stay tuned fora list of names.

This is one rock Weitzman will never look under. The findings will sink the top of the 2005 ticket leaving Howard out of a job too.

Ordinance 5431995

Reply Meredith Feinman sent notice out
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ordinance 543-1995 permits any employees that transferred from a state or municipal government job to continue in their same pension. That was it's purpose. Back in the Gulotta day there were hardly any people coming to Nassau from other governments because he followed the Nassau County residency guidelines, but when the occasional State worker came to the County to work, the purpose of the ordinance was really so they wouldn't lose their benefits from the pension. It was intended for compliance with state law. It was also meant so that if you worked for Nassau County before, and left for a year to make some money doing something else, and came back to Nassau County within a year, you wouldn't have lost any time as a Nassau County employee. It was like taking a sabbatical.

Now everybody comes from the city. Feinman who has no prior personnel or management skills, declared herself to be personnel director under Goodman's office. She was one of Reinharz's friends (no surprise there).

They interpreted the ordinance to let all these city folk PRETEND that all the time they spent serving the taxpayers of the city of new york, was really time spent working for Nassau County. They then added all the time up they spent working for the city and they adjusted their start dates to reflect that. So if Feinman, Goodman and Reinharz first started working for the county in 2002, but they worked for the City of New York for 20 years, their start date for Nassau County was 1982! So according to the records, it looked like they'd been working for the County since 1982.

Not only were they able to then get the benefits package that was offered to workers back in 1982, instead of the new benefits package Suozzi forced on NASSAU COUNTY RESIDENTS who started working for the County in 2002-2003, but they got LONGEVITY BONUS VACATION DAYS. In other words, they got extra days which were meant to reward long time workers for Nassau County, AND they got seniority and benefits they weren't entitled too.

Not ONLY was this done, but they ignored the requirement that the "transfer" had to be within a year. They allowed people who had quit or retired from previous jobs, or were on medical leave or some other kind of leave, or who had other jobs inbetween, or were unemployed to get the re-adjusted date, which isn't exactly a "transfer". Also, some people had gaps of active employee work status between their "CITY" jobs and starting work at Nassau County of more than a year.

That's why these people started one week, and took a two week vacation the following day! They are all friends and lovers and it's all happening right under Suozzi's nose.

Of course, Weitzman won't issue a fraud report on that because his office is the one that back dated everyone.

Every last one of them. I know two that were unemployed more than a year before the county picked them up, one that was out on medical leave (not an active employee) and two that were in private jobs for over a year and they all got retroactive benefits and adjusted start dates, not to mention they got tripled the salary entry level employees would have started with. The taxpayers are paying for all of this. But they don't know any of this because the GOP isn't actively transmitting to the media. That's why the $50 million bond floated. IT's gotta be grassroots. The committee people in each local club have to put this stuff in writing and walk around putting it in mailboxes. They lie, they treat and Dillon sits on his hands. Shame.

I know a Bureau Chief who filled in everyone's time sheets for them, and then signed off on the timesheet. Sometimes she even signed their names on the timesheet and on the leave slips. All they have to do if they really want to is look at the timesheets over the past couple of years. It becomes obvious when the exact same handwriting shows everybody as working 9 - 5 . Her friends came in late - including Deputy Bureau Chiefs and Attorneys hired at $60K and more - and they left early or disappeared for 3 hour lunches, when they came in at all, and the others wound up working until 6 or 7 PM but yet she'd write 9 - 5 straight across the Board. Complainers get fired under this administration and what difference does it make anyway? Is Spitzer going to investigate? Because Dillon certainly isn't.

Reply Anyone's better than Suozzi

We were better off with Gulotta. Suozzi is putting the county into such deep debt we will never be able to get out of. HE is borrowing and spending money for his own special interests. He manages to keep everything out of the paper because Newsday backs him up. Newsday distorts stories to their point of view. All of this is finally starting to come out thanks to the L.I.Press. As for Suozzi tax and spend policies, he has 175 non Nassau County residents on his payroll making 6 digit salaries in positions he created for them. yet he cut the county workforce to a minimum. And what about the $30 Nassau county surcharge he managed to get imposed on your car registration. He did that-not Motor Vehicle. How did he get $450,000 from a real estate agent without having his property rezoned. Gulotta was not half as bad as Suozzi is. At least Gulotta did not raise everything he could get his hands on.

Maybe So But
