Just wondering how will Kathleen Rice conduct herself with the new Republican administration. Is she fiercely partisan? Will she play nice? Will she be jumping ship to ride the Cuomo Express? Thoughts anyone?

Hey, good questions. Based on the "viewed" count, there appears to be over 30 people who may not know the answers either! Yes, I think she is itching to run with Cuomo. Is she fiercely partisan and will she play nice is anybody's guess. Sure wish some insiders leave their remarks. I'm wondering if she is going to get rid of the NYC folks and hire locals. Can Mangano compel her?
I hope Rice plays nice.
consider her options

Rice will have alot of options in 2010, no doubt. With the Democrats in the Legislative minority, and Suozzi potentially retired, Rice will be the highest ranking elected Democrat and Jacobs will probably disappear on the State level. One likely result would be for her to ally herself with the Cuomos, and to the Nassau GOP through the backdoor through Andrew Cuomo's mother's family. Rice will get something big out of all this, and perhaps a judgeship (state or federal with anywhere from a 10 year (court of claims) to a life time (EDNY) term) will be where she ultimately lands. Since Rice has spent virtually all of her life in public service, a federal judgeship may be a much bigger plumb for her than the vanity of a run for Attorney General.
Right now if you're Kathleen Rice, life is good. Especially now that Jay Jay and Suozzi are in the crapper.

Question for the poster two prior. Is mama Cuomo's family republican?? Do they have connections to the Nassau GOP? This is news to me. Where is the connection? Thanks
