It was just the other day that I ran into my friend?neighbor, when I found out some disturbing information. He works as a undercover detective for a governmental agency (Details disclosed for protection). He told me that there is a big investigation going on involving several Suffolk County Fire Departments.

Basically, the government has been watching the Coram, Gordon Heights, Wyandanch, Davis Park, Kissmet, Babylon Village, and Mattituck Fire Departments. It has been said that they are all involved in a huge Mob crime ring involving stolen goods/property, money laundering, tax fraud, drugs, prostituion, and enslaving midget porn stars.

All I know is that It started with the commisioners using the ambulances late at night to run drugs, hookers, stollen goods, and dirty money all around these fire departments listed above to create a huge profitable crime ring. They used the ambulances, so nobody would even expect it. All of the drug sales and prostitution is taking place in underground secret chambers below the firehouses.

Anyone else hear anything similar???

I can actually vouch for the validity of this story. I friend of mine works at one of the afore mentioned Fire departments and while visiting him on a late night shift I actually got the chance to view a "video tape" of a party. It was by far the most obscene and shocking thing i have ever seen. Apparently they use there so called rec rooms to through these wild and crazy parties with all sorts of hijinx. this was as far as i know an issolated incident at this particular department. from what i understand most departments are very serious in this so called "busines"they opperate with supposed ties to the "irish mob" and the "free masons". although i am not to sure if the free masons was for sure or not. there have been some that told me this is not true and that the masons are actual rivals of the Fire departments. ? if anyone knows more please let me in on it

I've heard the same thing but I got my information from the Coast Guard. Apparently many of these agencies have purchased fire boats without anyones knowledge and they are using the fire boats for their smuggling operations. This was discovered when the Coast Guard boarded one of these "undercover" boats and discovered illegal Chinese refugees.

Now that the Coast Guard is hot on the trail I understand that the boats will be sunk to create an artifical reef in Lake Ronkonkoma.

their is a report that on new years eve their was an ambulance involved in an accident. i herd over the scanner that the ambulance flipped over drive was killed on impact and the emt and patient in back was airlifted to stony brook. i herd the where in very bad shape. when they flipped the ambulance back onto it's wheels there was white powder coming out of the rear cabinet. this was in the hamptons some where unknown what town. does anyone know if this is true or has anyone herd anything else about it ????

Five More Paid Miramar, Florida Firefighters Suspended in Drug Probe

Still reeling from drug arrests of a captain and a lieutenant, Miramar Fire-Rescue Chief James Hunt said Monday five more firefighters had been suspended in connection with the investigation. The five, whom he would not identify, have not been arrested.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents arrested Lt. Carey Kovacs, 29, and Capt. Valentin Srbovan, 37, last week. According to an arrest report, Kovacs, a six-year department veteran, admitted to selling Ecstasy to several Miramar firefighters and taking the drug with co-workers at raves at his Davie home. His roommate, Charles Dixon, was arrested after Ecstasy and hydrocodone, for which he had no prescription, were found in his bedroom.

Hunt said the identities of the firefighters suspended Monday for their involvement had been provided to the department by the DEA.

He said he does not expect more suspensions.

''The mood of the department is still... shock. The vast majority of the people in the department are very good firefighter-paramedics,'' Hunt said. ``And they're in disbelief right now.''

Mayor Lori Moseley said it is the city's responsibility to react to the allegations. ''I'm very disappointed that this is happening,'' she said. ``One person on these charges is too many. And right now they will be suspended with pay, because obviously you're innocent until proven guilty. But if there is drug use, then they shouldn't be working.''

Neither Kovacs nor Srbovan, with the department for 15 years, could be reached for comment Monday. Both were released from jail on bond. Kovacs, whose salary is over $63,000 a year, was arrested on four counts: possession of MDMA, known as Ecstasy, with intent to sell; possession of cocaine; possession of steroids, which police said he admitted to buying from another firefighter, and possession of promethazine and methocarbamol with no prescription. Srbovan, whose salary is about $85,000 a year, was arrested on one count of MDMA possession.

In recent job evaluations, both men scored either average or above average. Srbovan, according to his latest evaluation, ''demonstrates effective support'' of the city's policies, including those on a drug-free workplace.

Michael Montagne, a professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy who studies social aspects of drug use, said it's ''not typical'' to hear of firefighters abusing drugs like Ecstasy. ''Firefighters usually are pretty clean,'' he said. And if not, the drugs they more commonly would abuse are alcohol, marijuana or tranquilizers -- ``something to reduce the stress.''

Ecstasy's short-term effects can include hyperstimulation, a fast heart rate and dehydration, Montagne said. It can take a few days for someone who has become exhausted on the drug to recover.

Eighth Firefighter Suspended in Florida Drug Probe

Another Miramar firefighter was suspended late Monday in connection with a drug investigation that has already resulted in seven other suspensions and two arrests.

Miramar Fire-Rescue Chief James Hunt said Tuesday that no more suspensions are expected.

The department was stunned when Lt. Carey Kovacs, who has been with the department for six years, and Capt. Valentin Srbovan, a 15-year veteran, were arrested on drug charges by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Both have been suspended with pay.

Kovacs, according to an arrest report, admitted to selling Ecstasy to seven other firefighters and said that he took the drug with his colleagues at raves at his home.

He was charged with possession with intent to sell MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, and possession of cocaine, steroids and two controlled drugs without a prescription.

Srbovan was charged with possession of MDMA after agents found 20 tablets of Ecstasy hidden in his bedroom in Miramar.

The department suspended six additional firefighters who were named in the investigation on Monday, Hunt said. Their names have not been released publicly because of the ongoing criminal investigation.

Jeannette Moran, a DEA spokeswoman, said Tuesday there have been no new arrests.

Firefighter May Have Fabricated Mugging Story

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Channel 9 has learned that an Orange County firefighter who claimed he was attacked outside a fire station may have made up the whole thing. Investigators now have questions about what really happened at the fire station.

Detectives investigating that mugging say they're finding inconsistencies in the firefighter's story, including why the thieves never took his wallet. It turns out, the firefighter in question once worked as an Orange County deputy and was fired for lying.

Some are asking, if Dennis Lamar Smith was fired for lying while he worked as an Orange County deputy, why was he hired to work for the same county as a firefighter?

Smith claimed last week that he was attacked near a dumpster outside Fire Station 81 in east Orange County. But now, we're learning detectives may not believe it happened because he has lied before on the job.

Channel 9 obtained copies of his personnel file when he worked as an Orange County deputy in the early '90s. A copy of his final interview, before he was fired, stated Smith was "terminated for untruthfulness."

Records show, in January of 1993, "Deputy Smith lied to his supervisor ... when he denied using excessive force" on a suspect after he was handcuffed. Then, a month later during an internal investigation of that excessive force incident, a report stated, "Deputy Smith lied to the ... agent in two sworn taped interviews."

Also, the week of February 8, 1993, Smith tried to get out of taking the stand in two criminal trials. Although he never got permission to get out of them, he never showed up. In a letter, Smith expressed his regrets and admitted he "failed to give appropriate warning" about his absence, but because he was a no show, one of the suspects was set free.

Also in his personnel file were letters of recognition for good work in the community. But still, based on his history and the fact that detectives are having trouble piecing together details of last weeks mugging, they may be skeptical the attack ever took place.

As of right now, the Orange County Fire Department says they have no reason not to believe Smith's story. He is currently on medical leave, so Channel 9 could not contact him through the fire department

Smith worked for the Orange County Sheriff's Office for about three years. He was fired in 1993. Then, in May of last year, the Orange County Fire Rescue hired him.

city investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct at a Bronx firehouse last August has concluded that three firefighters had sex with a Staten Island woman there and tried to cover it up in the hours that followed.

"I think that they should be terminated," Rose Gill Hearn, the commissioner of the Department of Investigation, said yesterday at a news conference detailing the results of her department's six-month inquiry. "But that's up to the Fire Department."

One of the firefighters, Christian Waugh, has already been fired, an action taken by the Fire Department in December after he refused to cooperate with investigators. The two others, Firefighters Tony DeLuca and Anthony Loscuito, were suspended for 30 days without pay immediately after the incident, and have since been on administrative assignment. The report did not implicate any officers.

Firefighter DeLuca is to appear before a departmental hearing on Monday, the first step of a process that may lead to his dismissal. Firefighter Loscuito, who has maintained that he was asleep during the incident and never saw the woman in question, is under investigation by the Manhattan district attorney's office because of the Department of Investigation's conclusion that he lied to investigators about the incident. He may face further disciplinary action by the Fire Department.

In a statement yesterday , Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta thanked the Department of Investigation for its work and said that "the vast and overwhelming majority of our firefighters are honorable, brave and upstanding individuals who condemn this type of outrageous behavior."

According to the report, the woman met one member of the firehouse - whom officials did not identify and who was not at the firehouse at the time of the incident - in 2003 on an Internet chat site frequented by those seeking to meet firefighters and police officers.

She later began calling the Bronx firehouse - nicknamed Animal House - regularly and speaking with different firefighters there, including Firefighter DeLuca, who early on the morning of Aug. 20, invited her to come to the firehouse once the officers on duty had gone to sleep. After calling the firehouse as well as the city's 311 line for directions, she arrived at approximately 4:30 that morning.

In the next 45 minutes or so, she had sex with each of the three firefighters in turn, the report said. The encounters occurred in the firehouse's secluded basement lounge, "a crummy little room," according to Commissioner Hearn, with three couches and no windows.

The woman left the firehouse about 5:15 a.m., the report said. Several hours later, she called 911 to report that she had been raped. The Bronx district attorney's office and the Police Department quickly investigated the allegation but declined to charge any of the firefighters with rape.

The woman has since filed a notice of claim for monetary damages with the New York City comptroller's office, stating that she was "restrained against her will, sexually sodomized, raped, physically and emotionally injured" by the three firefighters.

A pillowcase that the woman says contained forensic evidence of her sexual encounters with firefighters was never found; a pillow without a pillowcase was discovered in the lounge. The lounge's floor had also been mopped by the time investigators arrived, though none of the firehouse members interviewed said they could recall a previous occasion on which anyone had cleaned the lounge.

The woman, whom Firefighter DeLuca described to investigators as a "groupie," reported having a nervous breakdown after the Sept. 11 attack, after which she was diagnosed with and treated for bipolar disorder. She told investigators she had had sex with numerous firefighters since 9/11 because she "felt bad" for them, and the woman had T-shirts, badges and other paraphernalia from different fire units.

At yesterday's news conference, Ms. Hearn said that the woman had been unable or unwilling to definitively identify any other firefighters with whom she had had sex but that the Department of Investigation would continue to look into the matter.

The report released yesterday made a number of recommendations, including a new requirement that at least one officer be awake and supervising each firehouse at all times. It also dwells in some detail on Firefighter Loscuito's checkered history with the department, to which he was hired in 2001 despite an earlier conviction for drug possession.

The report said that such a record would normally have prompted a closer review of Firefighter Loscuito's candidacy but that that review was not undertaken after Thomas Von Essen, then the fire commissioner, issued a memo asking that the candidate be hired. Firefighter Loscuito's father was a driver for Commissioner Von Essen.

After becoming a member of the department, Mr. Loscuito was the subject of a second arrest - also on a drug possession charge, pleading guilty to disorderly conduct - and a subsequent disciplinary action, though he remained on duty.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Von Essen, Sunny Mindel, said, "Tom Von Essen has no specific or direct recollection of the Sept. 21, 2001, memo mentioned in the D.O.I. report."

The report also includes a detailed account of the activities that took place on the morning of Aug. 20, describing how Firefighter DeLuca sneaked the woman in through a side door. Civilians are not normally allowed to enter city firehouses.

Hmmm, never trust a news story...the firefighter was on emergency leave for family tragedy during the 2 court dates where one defendant walked. If you know this firefighter, then you know he is a competent and fair person with no history of violence. The police dept fired him AFTER he resigned to move out of state (the investigation was started after the move was initiated and he was about to depart). The accusers? 1 disorderly drunk giving alcohol to a house full of kids and a dirty cop who DOES have history of violence. When someone is gone what will someone say to alay the blame? Anyway we have known this person thru the years and find it a tragic misuse of justice. (and for the record this FF had a knife mark in his rib as well as a damaged shoulder and forehead)...oh well stories sell airtime if they are more intriguing than real life.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Channel 9 has learned that an Orange County firefighter who claimed he was attacked outside a fire station may have made up the whole thing. Investigators now have questions about what really happened at the fire station.

Detectives investigating that mugging say they're finding inconsistencies in the firefighter's story, including why the thieves never took his wallet. It turns out, the firefighter in question once worked as an Orange County deputy and was fired for lying.

Some are asking, if Dennis Lamar Smith was fired for lying while he worked as an Orange County deputy, why was he hired to work for the same county as a firefighter?

Smith claimed last week that he was attacked near a dumpster outside Fire Station 81 in east Orange County. But now, we're learning detectives may not believe it happened because he has lied before on the job.

Channel 9 obtained copies of his personnel file when he worked as an Orange County deputy in the early '90s. A copy of his final interview, before he was fired, stated Smith was "terminated for untruthfulness."

Records show, in January of 1993, "Deputy Smith lied to his supervisor ... when he denied using excessive force" on a suspect after he was handcuffed. Then, a month later during an internal investigation of that excessive force incident, a report stated, "Deputy Smith lied to the ... agent in two sworn taped interviews."

Also, the week of February 8, 1993, Smith tried to get out of taking the stand in two criminal trials. Although he never got permission to get out of them, he never showed up. In a letter, Smith expressed his regrets and admitted he "failed to give appropriate warning" about his absence, but because he was a no show, one of the suspects was set free.

Also in his personnel file were letters of recognition for good work in the community. But still, based on his history and the fact that detectives are having trouble piecing together details of last weeks mugging, they may be skeptical the attack ever took place.

As of right now, the Orange County Fire Department says they have no reason not to believe Smith's story. He is currently on medical leave, so Channel 9 could not contact him through the fire department

Smith worked for the Orange County Sheriff's Office for about three years. He was fired in 1993. Then, in May of last year, the Orange County Fire Rescue hired him. [/QUOTE]
