What the heck has happened to this once pristine piece of Huntington? Its also not just that their building these huge homes but they are right on top of one another making it look like an expensive slum.

The urbanization of suburbia.

More and more undeveloped land is being puchased by developers and built upon.

Pity really as things will only get worse.

The already developed areas of Dix Hills were ALSO once pristine, until some bg, bad, connected developer bulldozed the rolling hills and built your homes. But that's ok now that you've got your place, right? To hell with everyone else. What a bunch of self-serving japs.

EverGreen Estates now owns the (Half Hollow?) Golf Course on Half Hollow Road. Did any one know that? Soon to be 30-40 new houses.
