Face it guys. Your stunt is a disgrace and your careers are harmed immeasurably. If you still siphon away any votes, then you've succeeded to help Suozzi by duping the uninformed, or, you have voters who are complicit with your underhanded shemes. Either way, you are both history in Long Island politics. SHAME ON YOU BOTH!

Seriously, seek professional help. Why aren't you out there campaigning for your own candidate.
The Republican Party just loses more and more respect with these antics. Try spell check next time. This youtube video shows the desperation of a once good party, and was a mistake. Was it made by the same thugs who went after Nina Bastardi months back?
If it weren't for your patronage job this type of conduct would not exist. BTW you also put out false and misleading information. Hansen and Bogsted were originally appointed when the Republicans ruled Nassau County, so cut the baloney.
If we eliminate patronage, we eliminate destructive people like you.
Antics aside

Hey, antics aside, the protesters do raise legitimate points. Also, these are merely individuals and this was not endorsed by the Republican Party, so watch it, buster, with your sweeping generalizations.

There is nothing legitimate about what these protesters did. Who else but disgruntled republicans would have staged that coup d'état?
They were merely individuals who were following orders of the rank and file. These antics do a lot of damage to the credibility of the party.
UR not fooling anyone

Oh, blow it out of your ass already! They were mere individuals who are irate about the sleazy tactics of Suozzi and his unprincipled C-party mercenaries. As amateur as was their production, they have every right to protest the crooked shenanigans. You've just exposed yourself as a partisan democrat hack trying to smear all republicans. Get out of town on the jackass you rode in on that you told eberyone was a pony.

You are an idiot. The people running this anti-hansen stuff ARE NOT REPUBLICANS- they are CONSERVATIVES who are true believers. They do not have patronage jobs. You try to tie this to the GOP to avoid the real issue- which is BOGSTED picked HANSEN to run to HELP SUOZZI (a tax and spend liberal north shore silver spoon boy).
While bogsted and Hansen may have been appointed by Gulotta, they stayed with Suozzi. Gulotta was such a shitty CE, why would Suozzi keep some of his appointees? Oh, political reasons- of course!!!
I am NOT A CONSERVATIVE. I am NOT A REPUBLICAN. I do not work for any GOVERNMENT. This whole thing is amusing as hell for me.
stop it hansen

The photographs of the protesters depicted Bob Pendelton and Pat Friedman, both of whom are registered Conservatives. Pendelton and Friedman were crucial organizers in the Christian Browne primary victory over Joe Scannell, and Pat Friedman previously unsuccessfully ran a primary against Hansen for his position on the Conservative Executive Committee. This video was not a "Republican stunt." The protesters were registered Conservatives, the same people who defeated Joe Scannell in the primary. The Hansen campaign cannot handle the fact that it was exposed as a fraud, and cannot handle the lack of support even from Chairman Bogsted, who apparently felt it was more important to work the rubber chicken circuit in New York City at a Conservative Party Dinner for John Bolton than to send some committee people to a Town Hall meeting to support his "grass roots conservative candidate" for County Executive. This Town Hall meeting may perhaps serve as a metaphor for the campaign, which in the end will see its candidate standing alone, abandoned by everyone, including his patron, Mr. Bogsted.

Read the Hansen blog for his take on why nobody showed up at the VFW Hall on October 29th. Apparently, crazy bullies in their seventies had blocked the entranceway to the VFW Hall, after people were mistaken given the wrong address by the campaign. And oh, yeah.... Chairman Bogsted committed thirty some odd committee people who could have been used to stack the audience to attend a function in NYC. But, the blog is worth a read.... And everyone deserves their soap box.

So he should have called the cops and gone on with his event. Shows he doesn't have the stones to be CE.
BTY Bogsted did not have 30 odd people at the event although the people who he personally brought were odd.
hansen $90,000!!!

Newsday found the Hansen event. And the protesters found the Hansen event. Hell, even the clueless Steve Hansen and his "aides" found the event. But Hansen's "followers" could not find the Hansen event? This strains credibility, even for Hansen.
Honest Conservative

Steve needs to be honest with himself and face the person in the mirror. He is and has been disloyal to the Conservative party. He should resign and become a democrat. After all, he is a Suozzi Democrat.
An enlightenment

Thank you. I just realized something. You are right, Steve Hansen is NOT a legitimate Conservative. That much is as obvious as the fact that he is also not a Republican in spirit either. He may be as you say, a Suozzi Democrat, but only due to the incestuous relationship of his job. What Hansen truly has become (besides a shill sellout) ideologically, is a conservative Democrat. A truly rare species. Perhaps he should re-register as a Democrat. He would be at the extreme right end of that party. Only problem for him would be that the supposedly "big tent" that the Dems claim, would want nothing to do with him. I suppose then he's shit out of luck as far as a career in politics is concerned. No fit with his dem patrons and burnt bridges elsewhere where he may have had a chance. And that development is called just dessert. An important lesson to be referenced as an example of disloyalty and political ineptitude.
