Gang Violence On The Rise In Huntington, Democrat Petrone Administration Blames Suffolk County Police

The olde I'll blame everyone else but me trick being played out by Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone and his Democrat Absolute power town board.

Try shutting down the gang producing day labor site where MS-13 and Latin Kings find their recruits, Mr Petrone. The only thing you have revitalized in Huntington Station are tax cheats, gang bangers, drug dealers, murderers, stabbers, shooters, robbers, millionaire slumlords "on public payroll",graffitti artists, big corrupt local government, corrupt non profit organizations, illegal alien migration, radical leftist organizations etc...

Stop blaming the local police Supervisor Petrone, it's your town board that allows town code enforcement to do just the opposite, town unenforcement of local laws and codes that have created this ghettoizing of Huntington. If the people don't vote you and your corrupt group out of office then they deserve more squalor and heartache until they do.

Take it to Huntington Town supervisor Petrone and his town board band of yes men and women to get the Suffolk County Police and County executive Steve Levy to agree on something,"It's the Huntington Town Government's fault".

Mr. Petrone,
It's your freakin fault along with the inept town board and lack of code enforcement in the town helping to create this urban decay in a once beautiful suburban town.

Another contentious SD 3 board meeting tonight.

Many call for the closing of Abrams Int. School.

Not a politician in sight. Frank, where were you and your multi car police escort? Afraid to attend? Mark? Glenda (who used to live across the street)?

How about enforcing Town Codes? 3 meters on a Pius single family dwelling? Think that could be a violation, Frank? How about 6 cars parked out front? Or on the lawn? Trash in the yard? Garbage not in cans? Can this be any more obvious to Richards?

Closing down a school in a gang riddled area is not the solution. Enforcing the laws around it are. And this Town Board has not.

Time to vote for a change.

And dump this clown Dormer, already. Hear us, Steve Levy?

Whoever you are you got it 100% correct. Heard some police officials are steaming mad at Frank Petrone for blaming police for all the decay in the town. Maybe he should look in the mirror along with his chief code enforcer Bruce Richards. No matter what Reverend Ramirez says and the Hagendorf left wing illegal alien protector organization the day labor site is an abomination and illegal. You just know people are getting paid off to keep it running !

I am a 50 year resident of Huntington Station, and a lifelong Democrat.

And I do believe in LEGAL immigration. Hell, my grandparents were immigrants.

It tears me apart to see what failed Town Board policy has done to my community.

Way back in the 60's, it was "urban renewal". Uh Huh. Like that worked out. What did we get for it? Parking lots. And high rise apartments.

Then there was the downzoning in the 70's and 80's that allowed for houses to be built BEHIND existing houses. Lovely, isn't it?

This allowed for absentee landlords to build substandard housing and allow muliple families to live illegally. Can you say 22 West Hills Rd, Frank?

Then it was the Christenson/Sammis "accessory apartment law" in the mid 90's. That was a real boon to the community. More people, less taxes....

It is no wonder Christenson opposes Councilmanic districts....if Sammis were alive he would be right there next to him...

And most recently, hillside development. More houses on less land.

Lets see how many homes we can squeeze in to Huntington.

And of course, the "Petrone/Israel shape up site" starting back in 2000. As if no one can see what has happened around Depot Rd. and the train station is the last few years because of this.

And who will pay for the additional classroom space that Avalon Bay will bring? Think we have space problems now? Just wait until this debacle adds another 150-200 kids to the district already reeling from years of poor building management issues.

The problem is the current and past Town Boards that created this mess. This did not happen overnight, it took years of benign neglect. Now we have parents of kids from Huntington Bay that do not want to send their kids to Abrams fearing they will be "shot" by merely playing outdoors. And what about the parents that LIVE here?

WAKE UP HUNTINGTON!!!! This is NOT a Huntington Station only problem!!!!

There's less police today as there was in the late '60s, but all you want to do is point blame at any cost. Cops don't go to most burglar alarms anymore. they can't keep up with the volume, BS, and lack of support.

Smile, it will get worse before it gets better.

Need more people like you to speak the truth. Christenson should have been investigated when he was on the town board. How many plumbing jobs did he legislate for himself and others ?Sammis was a crook also.

Petrone and Israel protected them along with state officials. We now have a full blown foreign based ghetto in the center of Huntington. I guess George Soros and Hempstead Work Place project is more powerful than we thought.

On 22 West Hills rd ten years ago 4 people were murdered in a fire started by an illegal alien in a illegal apartment in a commercial building. Petrone was sued and beat the rap in court "another serious problem of corruption" despite the concrete evidence of town officials knowing for a decade that people lived there illegally in filth.

Who says it doesn't pay to be friends with millonaire slumlords.

Maybe the police will wise up and force the DA to finally do his job and investigate this seedy town government for massive abuse of funds and power.

Thanks. The truth can be stranger than fiction, no?

Don't know who Soros is. Perhaps you can explain.

I did forget to mention the sheds along NY Ave. that had extension cords feeding power to illegal apartments. Frank was shocked to learn about those too, like he has never driven up NY Ave and seen the blighted areas.

I think 22 West Hills Rd. was owned by Vengrof, who lived in Florida. The building was zoned for ONE apartment, with a storefront. How many were living there that the Town claimed they did not know about??

Time for the Suffolk DA to look into all the crap the slumlords and Morty Weber have gotten away with in Huntington with sweetheart deals from the Town Board.....

Suffolk Police commish Dormer stated in Newsday, town has failed to keep it's commitments to put extra town security in these areas of high crime. He also said that the town of Huntington doesn't enforce their building codes and laws thereby enabling overcrowding and illicit activities in illegal dwellings. Even the cops know it's the corrupt government of Frank Petrone and his cronies causing the destruction of the core of Huntington that is spreading.
