Deps are going to get some patrol funtion from levy.

Deps already have a patrol function, in addition to their normal functions. The entire county Rt. 110 to Montauk its just not broken down into precincts and sectors.

Suffolk deps 110 to montauk ok. Let say that was true why do they ask for PD or towns to respond to what ever they see. SCPD rules the county we did not even back levy we have his ear. Not SCSUnion or cos. We are on top Levy could give Deps 6% four years in a row. Deps will still make less. Sucks but we are real cops. Perb or not.

Everytime I hear one of these Deputies going over the radio in a girly voice asking: "Sheriff 92 to headquarters I have a pick up of a 10-10 with neg PI at @@@@@ and @@@@@ can you have a real cop respond." I laugh. I don't care what our union your union or anybody elses union says. Your driving around playing cop just handle the call!Or if it's not an emergengy just keep your girly voice off our radio. The call is always on our screen anyway, WE WILL GET THERE! Even worse because the sheriff's can't MYOB, headquarters turns the neg PI 10 not blocking traffic into a "unit to break away to assist sheriff unit". So keep off our radio girly mon!

Every time a few of you guys put down other L E agencies you embarrass yourselves. Your "Real Cop" banter serves no real purpose other than to what...protect your turf? An SCPD officer is no better than a sheriff, in fact some of you are real morons; and everyone of you SCPD officers know of a few morons you work with.

I feel, for the most part, that SCPD officers do a fine job patrolling our neighborhoods, but when you guys show your insecurities by putting down other LE officers you project yourselves more like schoolyard bullies and less like well trained law enforcement professionals.

thats all it is a job no matter blue, black, grey, state, village, county. if all you have at the end of the day is a title/paycheck/stat/utt/war story. you are not much of anything.
if u want to say its a profession, career, or what ever thats fine, but thats 8 hours of your day,the rest of your day should be as fufilling.
id rather be considered a good father, friend, gulp...even husband then a HARDCORE cop anyday.

I know for a fact that deps get spanked for handling 10 and writing to much paper. The cant even shoot radar. the bosses in the SCSD get all over them for that.

The Suffolk County C/O's did not endorse Levy, contrary to the earlier posting. We are going on two years without a fair contract with no end in sight.

We're in the process of overhauling our inneffective Union leadership through elections and hopefully a different direction will be taken.

I don't know about the Deputy Division, they can answer for themselves.

Will it be 3,3,3,3 or 2,2,2, or nothing and give backs. The DSPBA better do a good gob negotiating the contract. Because if its not better then 4,4,4,4 or 5,5,5, then the unions gotta go. A cost of living raise just ain't gonna cut it. You see if we get a 3% for one year that equals 0% compounded by some crazy giveback.

Ya they will pull the same old trick we have one day to vote on it as usual and shove down our throats. It is the best we are going to get they will say. Well as always the deps will just grin, sign and complain about to themselves. Well I am saying they better get cracking on this and have an update for us at the next union cluster #@*!.

The union has already dropped the ball. I was told personally that the Deputy who was unjustifiably sent to an investigators post would be back in uniform in days. Well its been over a week and nothing. They have no pull to get any thing done. And I took the brunt of it on my end for this for what? I know they tried.

They will do the best they can with the contract I still have faith in them. Lets give them a chance.

Look for the most part this union has been very luck because they never did right by us with a good contract. Lucky for the union we have enough overtime to help make it. But its sad that we have to do all that overtime. I have better things to do with my time. And the fact of the matter is that a guy who lives in an a Million dollar home that was a gift and weekend in Manhattan living the life of luxury has lost touch with our needs. And you can not tell me that with all the time the union has they can not do better with an administration we helped. Its getting deep.

I would be happy if the union would fight letting all the city guys from getting on. At least the union made sure that hey need to go through the academy now. The contract will work itself. Pro union ant City cop the line has been drawn.
