Chris Browne DESTROYS Scannell in Debate!

OMG! You just have to see this. Chris Browne ROCKS Scannell in their debate on News 12! I mean utterly blows him out of the water. Even Scannell's voice exhibits characteristics of fear and lack of honesty. He does NOT adequately defend his actions on the issues, taxes, county debt, etc., at all. Watching this is VERY revealing. I am in a neighboring LD, and my taxes went up mostly in school tax, thanks to the nearly criminal assessment numbers under the Suozzi (btw: DUMP SUOZZI) administration. This is why these lying jackthighs can raise your county taxes 60 percent and then say the percentage went down from 22% to 17% of your overall tax burden. We all know that the school taxes are linked to your property assessment numbers, however bogus they are. Notice how Suozzi's administration dropped the assessments only this year? They were 2 years LATE in doing this and we have ALL SUFFERED for it.

Scannell is BAD for the 5th LD and is bad for Nassau County. His tie-breaking vote enabled the regressive democrat energy tax on electricity, fuels, and even firewood.

Some issues concerning the 5th LD:
What's up with the no-bid "connected" business dealings regarding the 1st precinct relocation?
What's up, Scannell, on your complicity in the grotesque tax increases you have supported?
What's up, Scannell, with that park in Freeport that Suozzi and you closing?
What's up on an assortment of other issues that show that you don't really care about your constituents?

Chris Browne cares. He deserves to be your next county legislator.

It is quite simple:
Newsday is notoriously a democrat propaganda rag. Rarely does a republican ever get an endorsement. In Newsday's warped editorial minds they see it as republicans bad democrats good. It helps too, that they are all in bed together and the big boss Dolan gives six figures to democrat campaigns.
In fact, most people are so aware of the bias as to ignore what Newsday says anyway. However, in some cases, the statement that Newsday makes is really profound. So... to be a republican and get an endorsement is a truly significant event. Chris Browne was endorsed in part because he is a really excellent candidate and also because Scannell is really really bad! That has to say something! Browne should be getting democrat votes...at least if there are any intellectually honest dems voting.
