Starting salary for entry level is $30,000.
Starting salary for a lateral with under two years experience is $32,000.
Starting salary for a lateral with more the two years experience is $35,000.
If you live within 15 driving miles of Berlin you may qualify for a take home car.
The following is a list of current benefits also provided by the Town of Berlin:
◦Life insurance plan
◦Membership in State Retirement System
◦Fourteen paid holidays a year
◦Sick leave (1 day a month accrual)
◦One personal day a year
◦Vacation (6 days year one, 12 days year’s two through five)

In the interest of accuracy, I rechecked the numbers. As of the 2000 census:
Population: 3491
Households: 1347
Median household income: $33,438
Total # of schools: 4 public, 1 private
Total land area: 2.2 sq miles

25000 arrests a year in the western towns
911 medical emergency response, and because there is no school police, the additional school crime responsiblity
All handled by a total police force in all of suffolk of under 2800 cops for 1.5 million population
