Two Constables dead in less thank one week apart. This is a July that no Law enforcement officer will ever forget. Both at the hands of a drunk one used a car and the other used a gun. My heart goes out to them both. May you rest in peace.

Another lesson to all of those who downplay one job vs another. It shows it doesn't matter if you're NYPD, SCPD, Parks Police, NCPD, MTA PD, Sherriffs, etc., the dangers are there for all of us. My condolances to his family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers.

tsm20, you are right on mark. It's time to stop the back and forth bashing. The Peace Officer vs Police Officer, C/O vs Deputy, Park Police vs whoever. Our real enemies are people kike these morons who stole two of our brothers lives this month, not each other. No matter what your I.D card says or no matter where you patrol, in a jail, on the water or in the street, civil or criminal, it really doesn't matter in the end. All we have for the most part is each other for support and each and every job is needed and important. So out of respect for these tow fallen Officers let's stop the crude banter that many of us have been responsible for and focus on the important things (our safety) and the real enemies.

Here's another example of how Newsday can't report a story accurately. Here's the post article.

www.nypost.com/news/regio...25237.htm.

Four different writers worked on the newsday story and still couldn't get it right.

If you haven't canceled yet, do it now.

Maybe Bellone and Company will appreciate their workers now. Unlike the last two slap in the face contracts given to them. And maybe the Bay Constables will be given the proper equipment to patrol the waterfront!

Maybe Babylon will stop using Bay Constables in violation of Civil Service Law for armed security guard functions at the beaches.

Jimmy"s Post is only a copy of a civil service job description. Simply a guide not the law in this matter.
The real law is the criminal procedure law which identifies who are peace officers and what actions they may take.
This BRAVE officer preforming legally as a peace officer was trying to take a drunk and erratic driver of the road for the publics safety.
Thats right for our public safety & benefit.
Not you or your agenda jimmy.
So jimmy unless you have something positive to say about this brave man keep your posts separate from this thread about a real man doing his job.

you should grow up to be half the man Brooksie was!

I'm a current NYPD MOS and was wondering if anyone had info on a muster location for Wednesday, I'm RDO? Also, god bless anyone who wears a uniform and a badge to make the public safe. This incident proves if you do wear a uniform and a badge, you are doing gods work, wether you work in a bad neighborhood, or a "safe" neighborhood. We are all law enforcement regardless of rank or CPL status!!!! Be safe!
