Apparenly the spokesman for Mastic Ambulance, Tim Ryan, lied before a Legislative Committee. I wonder if his son, Chief Mike Ryan, will do anything about it?

I just read in Newsday that Mike Ryan has removed his father Tim from the position of public information officer for the ambulance company. Big Deal. Tim Ryan has brought shame to the ambulance company by his lying ( and it is not the first time) and it is my understanding that he is life member of the company. That membership should be revoked. Ambulance companies do a tremendous service to communites and they don't need someone representing who lies to the legislature.
I belong to another EMS agemcy and I can tell you that if Tim Ryan belonged to our company whe would have been kicked out so fast he would not have known what happened.

I have know about Mr. Ryan for many years. He is politically connected so I doubt very much that anything will happen to him plus he has very strong ties to Fred Towle.

if anyone ever goes to jail for being involved in one of the town ambulance districts, it won't be for false testimony, it would be for stealing tax payers money over the last twent years, these people have started thier own businesses with your tax money, put extensions on thier houses, built garages, and oh so much more, and they got away with it, so all we can do is tip our cap to them, why do you think the same people and the same family members are involved in the day to day operations of these districts for decades, do you really think they are that wonderful, if they where, they would be getting ready to be canonized, this what happens when you spend other people's money to tend not care how its spent, you tend to direct it in the direction of friends, all the while, you manage to keep two sets of books on the district, you appoint your wife to be the bookeeper, but like I said they did it, they got away with it, so congrats to all of them.

Those are really damaging things you are accusing the Ryan's of. Unless you have proof you should not suggest that they have done such illegal things. If you do have proof, then you owe it to everyone to go to the DA with that information. I am not a fan of many things Tim has done but I really doubt he has done the things you are claiming. I just read the South Shore Press and Fred Towle wrote an article basically blaming other people for Tim Ryan's lie to the County Legislature. He said we should just close the case and forget it because the ambulance companies do good work within communites. That is very true, however Mr. Ryan has not ridden on an ambulance in many years and while he was a valuable member of the company he did something that brings shame to the Mastic Ambulance Company and it's members and just because Mr. Towle and Mr. Ryan are close friends that doesn't mean things should be swept under the rug.

please keep in mind that those two people the former politician and the charged person are both actualy very involved in the rag newspaper you mentioned, in fact this rag newspaper was actually run out of the basement of one of the local ambulance companies several years back, so its kind of been a propaganda paper for the causes of these guys and thier actions. Does anyone remember when the mastic bch newspaper was in print, and the publisher used to make fun of the politician calling him the towlet bowl, and tearing him up at every chance, and then funny as it is this publisher shuts down his bird cage liner and starts writing a column for the current rag. boy the things that go in in these companies, if only people knew.

I have heard the same thing from other members of the company and if it is true it should be told to the County because they falsely led the County to beileve that that was an action taken by the Mastic Ambulance Company to discipline Tim Ryan however if there never was an official position of public information officer then the Ryan's are just lying more to the County and perhaps both father and son need to be investigated.

yeah right, all that was done years ago, but you see there is so much corruption on al levels of government, that do you really think they are going to go after realtivley small potatoes, the amb distict budgets are propably less than a half million dollars, thats nothing, compared to what goes on in some of the other tax districts, this is why taxes are so high on long island, what these people ahve gotten away with over past couple decades is amazing, and as far as having the position of PIO, i bet he gets a press card from the local rag newspaper that he co owns with the towlet bowl, only if only you knew. but they get away with so good for them.
