Here is a copy of a letter that is circulating throughout the Island Trees, Herrick’s and Roslyn Communities.
This is also on the DA and Comptrollers desk, along with a copy of her business certificate.And yes, Newsday too.

The following business certificate was obtained from the Nassau County Clerks Office.(See page 2 & 3)This business belongs to Helen R. C******n who is the former assistant Superintendent for Business of the Island Trees School District up until June 2004 .Mrs. C******n now works for the Herricks School District as the Superintendent for Business in that school district.
Mrs. Helen R. C******n is the wife of Mr. William C******n, who is one of the board members of the ROSLYN SCHOOL DISTRICT.
This business is very suspicious due to the fact that it was opened during her tenure at the Island Trees School District. A similar tactic used in the Roslyn School District.
Please look into ANY POSSIBLE PAYMENTS OR BUSINESS CONNECTION
To Helen C*******s “Creative Presentations Company” from the Island Trees School District, Herricks and or Roslyn.

We are NOT IMPLYING THAT the there is ANY wrongdoing here.
However, this business looks VERY suspicious and warrants investigating.

A few questions to ask.

1-Why was this business opened during her tenure at Island Trees School District dated Dec. 17th 2001?
2- Where and what is she "presenting"?
3-Did she do any business with any school district?
4-The DA should ask her to open her books and provide bank records for this company.

THis a reply is to Clarko from the Island Trees Sight.
It is NOT the job of Island Trees investigate Mrs. Helen C’s business and/or its vendors. A self-investigation of the school district will NOT cut it.
Of course school records will show that her company never did business with our school. NOR DID THEY IN ROSLYN! The checks in Roslyn were ALTERED to show a different payee. Mrs. Helen C’s business MUST be investigated from top to bottom forwards and backwards, and side-to-side!…. BY THE DA!……. NOT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OR NEWSDAY…. AND THE DA WILL!….The DA MUST back into ANY business dealings this company may have had. She MUST disclose who she did business with, for how much, what type of business was transacted, and why, if she has nothing to hide. This business is very suspicious due to its similarities in Roslyn.
Mrs. Helen C was the “KEEPER OF THE PIGGY BANK” here in Island Trees and now in Herricks.She is in trust of OUR TAX MONEY. People in trust of our money MUST disclose any side business they have, to avoid a conflict of interest. We must use Roslyn as an example and investigate EVERYTHING!
Clarko: You sound like the Former Superintendent of The Roslyn School District trying to brush this off. Are you related to Mrs. Helen C.? Why should we not take this seriously? Why should we take the School Districts word or Newsday’s that everything is ok?
As the anonymous letter states, there are “no implications” of wrong doing by Mrs. Helen C’s company. However, the DA has valid reasons to ask questions like:

1-Why was opened in Dec. 2001, while she was in trust of our money here in Island Trees. And at the same time,her husbands printing business was going south.
2- Why does it list her HOME address on it?
3-Why was her business certificate ALTERED prior to its filing?

The business certificate was first TYPE WRITTEN to read “Creative Presentation”
Then,
Someone hand wrote (in Helens hand writing)
An (S) at the END OF THE word “Presentation” and also hand wrote the word “Company”
To make this look like a COMPANY.
“Creative Presentation (“s” is hand written) (“Company” hand written)
The filing receipt reads
“Creative Presentations Company”
This does not sit well with me at all.
Smells like a RAT!
The DA must and will put our minds to rest!! NOT SCHOOL DISTIRCT OR NEWSDAY!!

A complete investigation MUST be made by the DA regarding Hellen's company.
I just got back from the county clerks office on Old Country Road.
Her business certificate IS on file and looks shady.
This is a carbon copy of Roslyn!
She has too much control and power here in Herricks!

DID say there was nothing wrong, but the "company" looks fishy coupled with the FACT that her husband and the rest of the board covered up a MAJOR crime (A B-Felony) in 2002.Her company"CREATIVE PRESENTATIONS COMPANY" IS IN FACT on file in the Nassau County Clerks Office on Old Country Road in Mineola.I inspected her business certificate today myself at the clerks office and it sure looks fishy to me as well.
They all MUST and DESERVE TO BE investigated.It is our right to know!
The DA will do his job with Helen C's company.
If she is clean then life will go on. We need to know as taxpayers if she has any side businesses!Its our money she is on control of.

FACT,
I discovered that Mrs Helen C*****an DOES have a business certificate on file in that office.Document type : DBA -B01
This is the same Helen C who WAS the business manager at the Island Trees School District from June 2004 and 9 years prior.
FACT,
Mrs Helen C is presently employed as the assistant superintendent for business in the Herrick's School District.
FACT,
Her business certificate was filed on 12/27/2001 at 3:16:42pm at the Nassau County Clerks Office with a $33.00 recording fee and notarized.
Control # 1423 Reference # BN01005474
FACT,
This is the Same Helen C. who's husband is a board member in the Roslyn Union Free School District.
FACT,
This business called "Creative Presentations Company"
FACT,
This business DOES list Helen and Bills ROSLYN home address on it.
FACT,
The business certificate name HAS both TYPE writing and HAND writing in the business name field.
The name on the certificate has the words "COMPUTER PRESENTATION" typed in that field.
Then, the letter (s) was HAND written to the end of the word "PRESENTATION" and the word "COMPANY" was ALSO HAND WRITTEN.
FACT
The Nassau District Attorney,Nassau County Executive,New York State Comptrollers offices,Board Presidents of Herrick's and Island Trees ALL have copies of her business certificate.

This business WILL be investigated by the Nassau County District Attorneys Office and other authorities.


All of the above are verifiable FACTS.

The question remains,what is/was the purpose if this business?It was opened during her tenure at the Island Trees School District in December 2001.
