Big Deal...join, complete probation, take FF1, and any of the advanced training is available to any dept. in Suffolk. Oh...and they have FDNY Chiefs too...more city guys volunteering..

Can be a big deal. Seems HFD encourages their members to further themselves with training. Many depts. ignore those advance trainings available to Suffolk vollies you mention.

Do they have a band and a drill team? Probably not.

i am sure all dept have what they need and do what they got to do. suffolk and nassua one of the top rated voli county in the country, alot of guys are on fdny. if they have traininging all ready no reason to send them for double training. in the same respect a department that pushes there memebers gets more from there memebers. if i was a memeber of any dept i hope they would let me know for as much trainning as the acadmy has

does HFD cover any other town or village then Hauppauge?

Forget the FD, get some training on spelling, typing, and sentence structure.

How about their "paid chief" 3-8-40? This asshole runs around all day and night responding to calls and giving orders to everyone.
