I read in newsday that Islip schools use a breathalyser for potential alcohol related problems .
Does anyone know the exact criteria for its use ,I have called the district and have left messages but to no avail
Thanks for any insight

YOu have called your district several times and got no reply?? I would march myself up to the administration and stand there to get an answer. I won't say never, but in my district, Farmingdale, you may not like the answer, but you get one. Good Luck.

You can request the infromation using a Freedom of Information Act request. They should be available in your district clerk's office. If not answered, such a request might grab the attention of some do-gooder lawyer. Have you thought about approaching Newsday (sometimes they are good for something)?
