If you voted for a lag payroll to get range training that the county should have been providing you anyway, then you are the one without a clue. On your job maybe it's a faceless "new guy" who you don't give a rats azz about. Here, I do give a crap and layoffs are a terrible thing for a young person with a family to feed. We kept the four Deps who would have been layed off and gained five more Deputy positions. Five positions when your job currently has only 275 people is rather significant.
