10% lag for nothing but range training, dumber than I thought. So much for levy's golden boys.

Caved right in to threats of layoffs, cutting OT. Explicit threats, but who cares.

Standing together is something I'll never see.

I hope karma bites hard those who gave birth to this bullsh*t.

Wake Up, How Many Times Do You Have To Be Told No One, Is The Golden Boy. Secondly, It Was Voted On And Majority Felt This Was Best. Thirdly Where Do You Get Your Info...there Was More Then Training, Which By The Way Is Important, That Was Bargained For And Agreed To By The County. Pay Attention! Yoou Really Have No Clue. And, Look Around, Everyone Is Giving Something Back. I'm Sure The Pba Will Too, If There Terms Are Met!

Oh no Deputy you have it all wrong. Our Jeffey will get us the moon and we won't give up 10% of anything like you guys did cause we're big blue! You guys will see, and I won't be eating these words in a few weeks either, just wait!

"Golden boys" and "giving back" for the 'greater good' (Pffffft) have nothing to do with it. Those who voted yes, or didn't vote at all, were either:

scared of the threats, or

have their OWN sneaky agenda/aspirations within the department. That's IT.

Don't think you're fooling anyone with that "everyone is giving something back" nonsense.

What you're giving back is about 55 hours of time and a half overtime that you brag about doing.

Who's laughing now, 9999999? Idiot.

Thanks for bending over so easily.

If you voted for a lag payroll to get range training that the county should have been providing you anyway, then you are the one without a clue. I'll even give you a few dollars of the 10% I won't be losing so you can afford to buy a clue. Since you are so enlightened, maybe you could tell us all what else the county "gave" you for your lag pay. Oh, thats right, nothing. Apparently the majority of you deps are devoid of brain function or are too scared to stand up for yourselves. Way to go you moron, nobody on your job benefits from that deal save a few suck pumps. Perhaps you are getting an investigator spot? Are you a suck pump? You don't have to tell me anything, save your breath golden boy. Guess you shouldn't have been so eager to scab it up. Now go lick your wounds, moron.

Such a well thought out, intelligent response. It's a wonder how levy can manipulate your union the way he does. I'm surprised he doesn't have you neanderthals working for biscuits yet.

Take a step back boys and girls... this isn't US -vs- Them (PD/SD) it's all of us against Stevie boy... and until now he's played his game quite well... divide and make cave... I for one hope Jeff doesn't even sit down with this psycho... not playing his game is the best way to put him over the edge.

With all the crap he's pulled with the PD... there's NOTHING he can give or do that would make me want to give him 10 days of my pay. Nor do I trust him for ONE minute!

Perhaps if EVERYONE.... the general public, teachers, postal workers, LIRR employees, politicians, LIPA employees, school administrators, the self employed, welfare recipients, all the folks on SSDI and workers comp, ballplayers and other sports "stars", the CEO's and executives, and the list goes on.... give up 10 days pay I will.... until then I don't think so!

Try telling that to the deputies who SOLD themselves and the entire department out by voting YES. The most unbelievably divided and disloyal police agency, ever. It is just incredulous. Steve had Vinny make an example of us. All other county departments stay strong, hold true! Don't let him use the raping he gave us as ammo against you. Hold your unions responsible to protect you, for that is what they get VOTED in and PAID for! Call out those union reps who are in line for "investigator" positions. Though I feel we are the only ridiculous agency who's union is made up entirely of selfish, underhanded PUPPETS.

Hey jackass heres a newsflash for you, all the other unions except the pba already voted for and accepted the lag payroll. I was about to accuse you of not being a deputy, but your lack of knowledge for current events suggests you probably are.

Not ALL unions except pba have voted yes.

It doesn't go unnoticed that you would take a positive and encouraging message of unity and use it as an outlet to insult a person from another agency.

Which leaves to to wonder..where pray tell should I assume YOU work? Hmmm.

At least I'm not blaming those agencies who HAVE voted yes for my troubles. Unlike certain members of another (well off) agency, who tend to blame members of another for their woes. I'll take the high road and blame those responsible- the crooked "leaders" and politicians in charge.

You can continue with your adolescent name calling and insults, if that's what gets you through the day.

I gave considerate thought to the vote, and voted for the lag! You see our job is small and I know the four people who were slated to be layed off. On your job maybe it's a faceless "new guy" who you don't give a rats azz about. Here, I do give a crap and layoffs are a terrible thing for a young person with a family to feed. You talk tough and you show how utterly ignorant you really are. Yes there are numerous items that we gained in addition to training days. We kept the four Deps who would have been layed off and gained five more Deputy positions. Five positions when your job currently has only 275 people is rather significant. So go lick your own wounds, you one way, self rightious, cowardly piece of sh!t.

We didn't gain 5 new dep positions, we were told that we'd gain 5 more invest. spots - like we need them. That only benefits the good ole boys. Problem is, we DO NOT have a real union looking out for the members, instead - everyone is paid off in some way, or has been promised something for the future.

Levy was not going to lay anyone off - he's not that stupid. Would he have f ucked with the deps, sure but layoffs - no.

So the union scared everyone into voting yes, we got nothing in return. The Sheriff himself was even at the last meeting (conflict of interest? scare tactic??) Well, it worked. But atleast 68 members of the union had balls and said no.

If this keeps up, they'll be no job left. And that's what HE wants.

Ignorance is bliss, you emotionally charged halfwit. The job of a union is not to save layoffs, it is to save the job as a whole. Yours is now destroyed, congratulations.

true. The union was compromised.

sounds like those that voted "no" need to create a new union.

I guess it is just as destroyed as the Detectives and Superior officers and every other union in the county except for the almighty PBA.

Theyll be no job left? I think its pretty obvious that the midget tag team champs are attempting to break apart the pd one piece at a time and give it to the deps. How can you say there will be no job left after the deps were handed hwy?
