Hey google - teacher abuse? How about we focus on taxpayer abuse? The budget passed by just 20 votes. Makes me wish I would have lobbied to get votes out. I will next year. I know, it's for the kids-so that makes it alright. Well I don't use the system and again see 200-$300 more coming out of my pocket. Those on fixed incomes - most of whom don't use the system any more will also see increases. But it's for the kids? I don't mind paying for the education of Copiague's youth. But special programs? Sports? Etc? Thats where those that benefit from that program should pay their share and cut us a break. Especially since many don't come from Copiague. Payroll tax or some other means should also be explored to make all the illegals (apartments that is) pay their share, thus lowering mine. Spending practices by the Board should also be explored. The threat of cuts to the students should be replaced with a more thrifty operation. Run for the Board you say? Never happen. No Kids, no way. Might bring a new way of looking at things and maybe some new ideas. They wouldn't allow that.

$5 miilion more this year I heard. Is this true? I'll bet it amounts to their safe magic number of 7%. Last year passed by a few votes. Let's see what happens.

To all who finally came out to send a message. Enough is enough. More support will be needed for the re-vote. Those that thought it couldn't happen and didn't vote will be out this time. The no voters that didn't show this time must make it a point to get out next time. Did they really think that smug budget notice they sent would push enough BS at us?? Nice touch mixing in the negative impact on academics remark with it. I don't think thats part of the section 2022 mandate. DO IT AGAIN AND REALLY SEND THE MESSAGE! THE CHILDREN WILL STILL GET THEIR EDUCATION. aCADEMICS WILL NOT SUFFER AS THEY TRIED TO IMPLY.

taxes help us
Governor pataki and the state fail our children year after year. And dont' get me st arted with the Commander-in-Shit. You can't make unfunded mandates on our children and then expect us to pay out of our noses for it, and the high price of gas, and everything else thats going up. NOT FAIR, NOT RIGHT, AND NOT FOR THE CHILDREN.
