I had hoped that she would be good and angry about being saddled with Klein. The Doreen Banks who got elected N. Hempstead Town Clerk would have done something about it, even if all that she could do was to publicly disassociate herself from this mess.

I don't know how accurate suspicious mind is with respect to her political "allies" but I do know that there are an awful lot of new East Williston residents who have no idea who she was, once upon a time, and only know her for the over-ambitious politician, and/or Suozzi administration foot soldier they see supporting the leasing away of public parklands to further Klein's agenda and to line the pockets of Jacobs's cronies. This does her very little credit.

I think she deserved much better at Suozzi's hands, and have said so on these boards. Her reputation also deserved much better treatment from herself. She's squandered a great deal of good will, and I don't see her recovering it any time soon.
