Exciting News
04-21-2004, 02:09 PM
I hear the elections in South Huntington will be very exciting. It will be two existing board members, De Lorenzo and Bermudaz, verse two new people that have a different approach to things. Hope this rumor is true...........

I think that you might be mistaken. I have my South Huntington calendar out and Bermudez is no longer on the board. DeLorenzo and Oddo are both up for re-election.

Yeah, Oddo and DeLorenzo are up. Oddo is not running; Delorenzo is running. Bermudez is running too. Also two new characters who are law students / substitute teachers are running.

Quick Pick

The same old two will get in again and nothing will change. They still haven't canned the crazed nut who lurks in the building harassing the staff and students. He continues to make false accusations causing the district to spend countless hours and dollars chasing false claims. The hairy beast must be stopped!!!!

Not Too Fast

Who are u taking about quickpick? What building is he in?

I wouldn't underestimate the two outsiders. It seems they are ready to campaign endlessly. Both of them have a close knit relationship with this community and De Lorenzo and Bermudez could get stuck in that web.

Yet an other diatribe directed at officials who are trying to save a school district under attack by town government. What is most telling about these baseless attacks on school board members, they never once mention the demands put on this school district by the illegal immigrants and legal immigrant populations. Town officials have bent over backwards to assist slumlords in the area to house thousands of immigrants. The school districts get no financial reward from this but added students with special needs and less money to do it with.
Even the town makes money from downzoning but not schools. But you never hear these complainers of the school board ever mention this in their verbal attacks. Why? Because of political pressure put on the school personnel from other government agencies.
It's all about corrupt politics.

Where'd everyone go?

At tonights meet the candidate night: I was impressed that there were four qualified candidates running for school board for two open seats. Each candidate has their own views and answered the questions. its a positive sign for south huntington.

Anyone have any view on the candidates? In the near future i WILL LET YOU KNOW WHO I WILL ENDORSE.

Rumor has it that the board was looking to get rid of Mr Touretz all along. The special ed director was up for tenure but the board did not offer it to him knowing they would give the job to Touretz! They claim no one intervewed for the job but when people applied they would cancel the interviews. Claiming no one applied they " offered" the job to Touretz knowing full well he would not take it. They then used the fight for a lame excuse and we all know what happens next . I great principal goes to another district, no special ed director and another scandel rears its ugly head in the SHSD . For this the residents are the highest taxed in hunt and sixth highest taxed in Suffolk! We are NOT getting our moneys worth Two down Five to go!

I'd like to make $118,000 a year to get on-the-job training..... wish I could be a teacher with NO technology backround... and then get paid to learn MINIMAL knowledge and collect a BIG FAT CHECK... maybe the district should get rid of her and hire someone (or someones for that salary) who know at least a little about technology... The S. Huntington Board should be ashamed of themselves.... having her as a mouth piece might just work against you! seems like anybody can be ANYTHING as long as they stroke the right people around here..... hell... Why do you think thats so?

Do you know how many children are in your school district under the section 8 HUD program that is only being placed in your district by the Town of Huntington?
Landlords love this rip off. The federal government actually said that when the town puts low income housing in the Huntington Station area there breaking the law. There's 7 other school districts in town and at least 6 have no section 8 housing placed there.

We won't even get to the illegal dwellings Bruce Richards and company allow in the your neck of the woods or I should say pavement.

Why do South Huntington school district property owners pay the highest in taxes ? Ask the town of Huntington? Check the assessors office and see first hand the inequity of taxes being assessed.:">

I doubt you even live in the station area. You tow the line of the present town board. How unfortunate.

I tell you what ask the schoolboard how many kids come from second dwellings added to houses or even dwellings that shouldn't even exist at all?

Then ask them what the taxes are for those dwellings.
This destruction of our tax base has beem going on for 14 years or even longer.

Since you mention immigrants why don't you make their housing safer and properly taxed so to meet their special requirements. No wonder slumlords love you.

Shea – our superintendent who is in charge of 5,000 students doesn’t even talk to his own daughters. He cheated on his wife and left his family for a younger woman and since then his daughters severed their relationship. Ironic ain’t it? The person we entrust with our children doesn’t even speak to his own.

Lack – assistant superintendent – her name says it all!!! the crazed psychologist who is incompetent – funny thing here is here her husband goes running people off the road in incidents of road rage and then is appointed a judge and he is married to a psychologist!!!

The kids of south huntington have been getting a good education for decades, whether its ofarrel, touretz, or polansky. The diversity and community willing to pay for an education is what makes the school district strong. Board members and administrators come and go. The community makes this school district and hopefully all this anger will result in more involvement at school board meetings and by pressuring the school board to do whats right for so. huntington. There is more to the Touretz dismissal than we are being told. I for one am glad to see him gone. He served his purpose. now its time to move on.

Maybe its time we demand accountability from everyone in the school. Many of us took this for granted. Now we are seeing that pressure is needed for accountibility and responsibility.....isn't that what we teach our children, maybe we should also demand it from our school employees. I still think that if the school board gets the support of the community, they will do a fine job. Without support, they will only listen to the administration and employees. Ok... let's think back in our superindentent history a little. In the 80's and 90's we had "Dan the Man" who put S. Huntington on the map. Oh... and by the way we DID have gangs back then... but enough on that issue.
In the late 90's we had Lauber and Dell. We bought out Lauber and somehow he wound up on Dell's payroll. ...oh and we're still missing computers and misc. tech items from that era. Then came Queen "Z" and Timmy "B". Timmy married the PR director - a page out of a USSR history book. I think at one point we were paying 3 superintendent's salaries.

Shea is a good man. He has a solid record in the district, he is honest, and a man of his word. We have hit bottom and are headed upward. When we get done paying for Lauber and Brennan, perhaps we will have more money for our kids.

If you want a forensic audit - try the 1996-1997 school year. Look into Bransburg's records as well. Perhaps our money went to buy hair gel for Neidell???

your anger, although justified, is going in the wrong direction. Don't forget, School Boards are on the bottom of the food chain, and receive no pay. Your county and state officials cost the taxpayer at minimum $100,000 per year.

yes, they receive no pay but they make sure they take care of they're own agendas...ex. wrestling rooms....for their own kid to use while daddy bd member serves as asst coach. Also, the dance studio which is built for a bd members daughter who likes to do the horizontal bop.Oh....what about taking care of their cronies? Field use preference, allowing a deadbeat tenant to run a daycare virtually free of charge.....all the above cost us....I wonder what the State would think....Whoops,almost forgot...hey Dennis, how much have we given the architect for alllllllll the failed bus depot plans?

I must stand up for Dennis G on this one. He has volunteered as a wrestling coach for more than 6 years for no pay. If you ask the 30+ wrestlers each year where he stands, they say he donates his time for all of them. I know this because I asked them when the Union questioned his position as the Varsity Coach, again for no pay. The wrestling room, unlike the football field, track, basketball courts, gyms, etc...had not been touched for twenty years. The wrestling room is used by all the gym classes, yoga classes, softball teams, cheerleaders, etc.....As far as the tenant is concerned, look up on this thread, he has given his phone number and email address if you have an issue. I don't mind talking about issues, but this guy has given to this community for years, and unless you have some other facts, go after someone else...Go after the state assembly, the teacher's union, the town board, etc....all of which are recieving pay for increasing our taxes...and if you don't like what you hear, run for school board.

So what's new? WW Dad and his Barbie Doll Wife are ticked off to lose the personal priviledges that came with owning a district employee. The Union is annoyed that management is holding labor accountable. For the rest of us the truth is obvious. If Dandy Dan was still here he'd be in the cell next to Tassone. Same with Judy M's General Gerry. Spreading nasty baseless lies about two of our most dedicated board members and their kids is the exactly kind of unethical crap you'd expect from a loser.

I'm tired of all this crap about a few thousand dollars spend on making the wrestling room safe and clean for our wrestling team which has represented this school with class. I supported the repairs and removing a gas infested room, replacing a few ceiling tiles and adding a small matt. I also supported the new baseball field, lights on the new football field, the new track, the improvements at the South Gym and the improvements for the north gym. I supported the new gym at Silas Wood, and the Pidgeon Hill baseball field. Thanks Dennis G for all of the above and thanks for helping our kids in the wrestling program.

from what I can assertain, Dennis' health has nothing to do with Town Board isssues. He just thinks he made his statement regarding the town and is not interested in being an elected Town Board member. He would rather leave that up to the younger leaders. I've tried several times to convince him to run and represent us, but he is more interested in doing what he does to help citizens and in coaching young children.

I will do what I can to convince him to be our represnetative. He's the only who has proven that he is not looking for a job, he is not looking to pay off special interests, he is trying to do what is right for the middle class of South Huntington. 08-07-2004, 06:40 AM
TO ALL MY FRIENDS: I have decided to change my party affiliation to the Independence Party. And, I urge each of you to do the same. It has become clear to me that in order to make substantial changes in the direction of our government for our children, we need to influence the electoral process. It is my opinion that by joining and encouraging hundreds of young people and as importantly, involved adults, to register with the Independence Party, we can expedite our influence on the process. The Independence Party is #3 and represents nearly 7% of the voting totals in each election. I URGE EACH OF YOU TO JOIN ME AND CHANGE YOUR REGISTRATION TO THE INDEPENDENCE PARTY. Coincidentally, the Mission, Preamble and Central Mission (listed below) of the Independence Party of New York is very similar to our very own Honesty & Integrity Party. The difference is that instead of obtaining 1500 signatures to support a candidate, we will now have to get 200 signatures. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE SOONER. Please call me if you have any questions. I can send you via email a registration form.

Let?s make a difference, and show our children that there is hope and a future in the governance of our Town, County, State and Country.

Dennis G.

I will make the official announcement on Monday, August 2, 2004.

Our Mission

To elevate the voters of New York State to their rightful place as the sovereign rulers of the state, reducing the office holders to the servants of the people they were intended to be;
To create a statewide political party committed to the elimination of the electoral advantages of incumbency and the creation of a level playing field for the candidates of all political parties;
To restore fiscally responsible government, where the state budgets to spend only what the voters are willing to pay in taxes;
To create a political party committed to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of the party -- representation, organization, campaigning, elections, fund raising, and participation;
To encourage voter participation and involvement, both in the party itself and in the political process as a whole.
The quality of a democracy is measured by the quality of participation by ordinary citizens. Democratic values and attitudes are learned through participation, and the highest calling of a citizen is to serve his or her fellow citizens in office as a position of trust, enjoying the bonds of affection with the voters for their willingness to sacrifice through public service. Our political party is committed to every aspect of this participation, whether in our party or in other political parties and organizations. We are thereby committed to choice in elections, volunteerism within the parties, and citizens who are willing to serve us as elected officials. We are equally committed to honest debate, the forthright presentation of our values, and respect for the rights of everyone.

The Preamble
The historic core of our democratic system is Political Liberty; which is the right and opportunity to choose those who will serve as representatives with the consent of the governed. This "right to choose" is the single factor that controls the ambitions of those who would impose - through force or stealth - their will on the majority of citizens. When democracy operates as intended, an aroused public can replace those who govern outside of the boundaries established by public consent.

Today, however, the condition of our democracy is tragically flawed. The incumbents of both political parties have manipulated every resource at their disposal to all but eliminate electoral choice in the United States; and they have, in the process, converted the state and federal budgets into a gigantic payoff system for the interests and organizations that contribute to their campaigns. The result is a frustrated and angry public; a public that has no place to express this anger because the electoral system is rigged to guarantee the re-election of the incumbents in office.

The incumbents of both parties have collaborated to subvert our political liberty to serve their own ambition for pensions, privileges and perks. In the process of paying off those who contribute massively to their campaigns, they have erected a mountain of public debt which will eventually crash down upon the lives of our children and grandchildren, crushing the value out of a democracy that ten generations of Americans have struggled and died to preserve.

The platform that follows is directed at the restoration both of our political liberty and of fiscal and economic solvency for our children. Unlike the incumbents of both parties, we not only welcome electoral competition, we cherish it. We not only espouse the virtue of fiscal conservatism and responsibility, we will actually practice it with spending and taxes. We not only desire political and electoral reform, we will support these reforms as the core of our effort to restore choice and accountability. and, we will support only those candidates who are committed to the reforms we seek as a party.

The maintenance of our democracy requires a price of each of us. We will retain democracy for our children only as much as our own willingness to sacrifice for it.

The Central Mission
The Independence Party of New York is organized around a core of values, beliefs and principles, and these are embodied in the objectives described in this platform. The following elements define the mission of the party:

? To restore democratic choice and electoral accountability.

? To put an end to budget deficits, unfunded pension liabilities, and other underfunded long term liabilities.

? To create a modern budgetary process that uses professionally acceptable accounting standards and accrual accounting, avoiding mandates, understated liabilities, and off-line budgeting.

? To diminish the pervasive and pernicious role of campaign contributions in buying access to legislative decision making and in promoting claims to public money.

? To promote public policies that are more directly consistent with the desires and needs of the public:

o In welfare, where Americans want a system that discourages teenage pregnancy, encourages work, and encourages families to stay together.

o In education, where Americans want to promote improvements that move us toward a world class education system.

o In crime, where Americans want a system that keeps violent felons off the street, and which promotes more creative to incarceration for nonviolent criminals.

o In taxation and spending, where Americans want solutions that do not require continually increasing the burden of taxation on Americans and do not require continually expanding the scope of government activity.

In area after area of public policy, the state and federal governments continually produce policies that are badly unrepresentative of the desires of the American people. This occurs because the current election system renders incumbents all but indestructible, making them unresponsive to the public and highly responsive to the campaign contributions that guarantee their electoral invulnerability. As a result, Americans are angry, frustrated, alienated and discouraged at a level that has not been present in at least 50 years or more.

In effect, our current two party system has proved a monumental failure in the most essential public function it performs -- the representation of what Americans want from government.

The Real Dennis Mission

1. To promote wrestling over academics....by diverting $$$ to the athletic programs and actively campaigning against the budget for many years. This year was the exception.

2. To form a third party because he could not gain a nomination in the Republican party.

3. To bully anyone who doesn't agree with him and use the board of education as a political vehicle.

4. To form alliances with other board members so that each of their petty concerns can be supported without concern for the public welfare.

You are so misinformed. Dennis did recieve the republican nomination, and then he fought the political bosses running that party, and fought Steve Israel, all which did not make political sense, he was asked many times do you want to win, or do you want to make a point, .,,,,he always said that the issues were more important. You obviously don't know him, or do know him and are afraid of his honesty and integrity. He can't be bought and is very transparent. He does what he says and means what he says.

One member of the board recently said that "Lack is not worth one penny of her salary. I ask the board of education to force her to retire. She sucks, pure and simple.

As I write this several more houses in the area have gotten ok to put apartments in them. Several one family houses actually have four families in them but don't worry their taxes are the same as yours. You just make up the difference. And your school district has the misfortune to be in the towns affordable housing and section 8 housing programs.

Maybe if you don't like your school taxes you can move to Cold Spring Harbor. No apartments or section 8 over there. Town won't allow it.

Hall Monitor should gets some more education. They keep attacking the same people over and over. But that is the description of a disgruntled employee.

The Kadens have served their district well. As someone who has lived here for 40 years Ive seen the town and county negatively affect it's school districts.

With the state government in constant disarray and distributing ever smaller funds to school districts, the public should be thankful for the few people out there who really care. Jim Kaden is one of those people.

All the malcontents who keep slamming him should be directing their anger at the government officials who could care less about your district or the kids who are in it. Leave the Kadens alone.

03-10-2005, 01:35 PM
If the Kadens held a seat each, it might be a bit more acceptable. But, with Jim you really do get Debbie and that combination has proved lethal.

The unofficial First Lady creates a horrible problem for our district. Jim lacks some smooth edges, but by comparison he is a diplomat of the highest order compared to Debbie. They are a tandem that creates havoc and despair.

The record does speak for itself, but the tone...oh my god....what an image of our schools!

Believe it or not, things are improving in the district.

The new guys are fighting the tough fight for change. unfortunately you have to bang your head against the wall to make the slightest improvement. Rome wasnt built in a day. It will take a long time to rebuild.

Of course the taxes will be high again but that is due to soaring special education costs. The only way to cut down the budget is to slash programs and eliminate teachers.

the negativity on this board is counterproductive.

all this bashing of Pres. Kaden but no one willing to take him on.

The new blood have worked hard to stablize the district. One of the first things they are tackling is the quarter of a million dollar a year loss on Memorial. They go to many school events and are champions of education. They make sense when they talk to!!! Anyone who thinks this job is so easy should run instead of making useless comments.

Mr. Scratch
03-11-2005, 05:07 PM
Of course they're tackling everything. Garetano did that and you guys killed him. Even blind squirrels find some nuts. Things go wrong but not maliciously nor criminally in this district. If you have proof, I'll see you at the next meeting.

If not then shut up and start getting involved in the entire process, not just your own little agenda. And don't give me this high tax crap. I'm so tired of it. You don't say squat about gas and oil prices, milk, eggs, butter alike.

Those items add up to more than your lousy 5K per year. That 400 a month car payment and dinner out 3x per week are the sacrafices that if made we wouldn't need this wonderful web site.

Take a look at the Catholic Schools. 30K a year for the teachers to start (maybe) and no certification. Parents jump at the chanced to send their kids there just to prove some cockamamey (sp?) point about how bad it is here.

The young guns are good, they just need not to break chops in public. Remember who's pulling their strings. "The Gang of 4".

I doubt very much that there are but a couple teachers here who live in the district who'd send their kids to Catholic school.Teachers are stereotypically the most spendthrift group and do not waste on their children that they claim not to receive.....squeak squeak.....

Mr. Scratch
03-11-2005, 11:49 PM
Sorry you re wrong . According to stats we are the HIGHEST taxed district in Huntington and the 6th HIGHEST taxed in Suffolk county ,with very little to show for it. I know quite a few SH teachers who live in district and send their children to Catholic schools. What does that tell you?? Are taxes are high enough !! 110 million to run a school district?? Enough allready!

We are the highest taxed because the town has put us on an island. The same way they hang north babylon down south.

Get it right

SW DAD Lost
03-17-2005, 10:20 PM
First SW Dad, more than the salary of an administrator will be saved. the savings are 1.3 M. A couple of dollars DAD, hardly

Second, the savings will grow more each year as Huntington Coach charges more and more.

Third, 14 year olds are currently out at the bus stop at 7 or earlier

The Board is trying to reign in spending without touching academic programs

Leaving Gangs Behind

Sherry Glatzer, 45, was born on Long Island and spent her childhood in Hauppauge. Twenty years ago, she moved to Huntington Station. But the safe, family-friendly Island of her childhood seems to have vanished, she said.
"We had a crack house up the street from us, and I didn't consider where we lived a bad neighborhood," Ms. Glatzer said. "Years ago when I grew up, nobody locked a door. You didn't have to. Nobody needed a key. Now I can't let my kids play out in front of the house unless I watch them. The crime is ridiculous."
In early March, Ms. Glatzer quit her six-figure job as a vice president of a financial services company on Wall Street. With her husband, Charles, 47, a photographer, and her 11-year-old daughter Haley, Ms. Glatzer settled in Hendersonville, N.C., outside Asheville, where her father, Ed Young, had relocated from Medford in 2003.
"It's sad what is happening up there," Ms. Glatzer said in a telephone interview. "I feel like I was forced to leave."
Ms. Glatzer said that when they lived in Huntington Station, she worried about sending Haley to Walt Whitman High School.
"The gang violence there has gotten out of control," she said. "It'll only be a few years until they put the metal detectors on the doors."

This will be Petrones legacy. His band of Plutocrats have aligned with liberal democrats to control the town for slumlords speculators and real estate brokers.
Petrone and the dems have a 37 million dollar slush fund that they helped to take away from the citizens and school districts.
The town has gotten stronger more corrupt and more anti neighborhood and pro growth at any cost. Including slander and lies against the districts and community citizens if need be.

Its time for the local PTA's and teacher unions and administration personnel to wake up to these dangerous matters. Huntington Station has become a magnet for the criminal illegal aliens and speculators who have brought them here. And it is directly related to inept and corrupt town of Huntington Housing Policies.

read with usual disdain the announcement for a revote and the typical
finger-pointing rhetoric about how the local school district is not to
blame for any tax increases. (Basically everyone BUT the teachers,
administrators and board are the culprit according to this latest news. I
suppose it has nothing to door with poor management of resources, ill
guided decisions and wasteful spending habits.)

Regardless, that is not the real point of my email. What I would
really like to know is what you were smoking when you wrote/approved/sent
the latest budget brochure to all the residents of South Huntington:

You stated:

"* Our cost of living is much higher on Long Island, and state aid
makes no equitable adjustment. Every dollar that comes back to Long Island
buys only 66˘ worth of goods, considerably less than for upstate
communities."

Are we receiving Canadian dollars from Albany? Pleas explain to me how
my dollar pays for one dollar of services here, but the dollars from
Albany are discounted. If you truly stand by that statement I would like
to offer you 88 cents on the dollar and that way we can all make out.
Please, when using tax payer money to send out mailings like this, it
is already bad enough to have to read the propaganda about how we should
vote "YES." I do not want to have to read lies, bad information and
utterly ridiculous statements like those. Shame on you.

It truly boggles my mind that the people who came up with that
statement are charged with the financial responsibilities of millions of
dollars and the (mis)education of our children.

I also find it quite humorous that you justify increased taxes by
claiming that the cost of living on Long Island is so high. A primary
reason the cost of living is so high is the high school taxes. You justify
your own increase because you already extort lots of money? That is
amazing logic.

Every time I consider the "value" that tax payers get and the public
education system I convince myself that privatization will be the only
savior of this top heavy, wasteful system where no one is held
accountable for bad decisions. (except of course the residents who pay for the
decisions.)

XXX XXXX

News from Lake Woebegone
06-11-2005, 01:49 PM
Things have been quite this week up on the Lake. Eunice Ungerer over by the creek just had herself a new foal last Thursday night and Jimmy Juergensen's Dad put his back out trying to learn ballroom dancing for Jimmy's wedding. Jimmy's Mom didn't want to go to the trouble anyhow so she's pretty relieved over that just so long as Hank gets back on his feet for the annual hog toss over in Emersonville next month.

The kids are all looking forward to the long summer ahead and the parents are all dreading it. We're all just happy to live a simple life where the women are strong, the men are handsome, and the children are all above average.

p.s. As I read the posts on this site it's become clear to me that you folks back East just aren't getting enough ketchup in your diets.

Anyone can sit around all day complaining on blogs, but IF YOU CARE ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS, VOTE DOWN the budget today. Contingency for one year will sober everyone up. It's better than this steady decline of test scores and having a mass exodus of talented department heads and assistant principals. Call for the board to FIRE the top three administrators, not give them huge raises for failure. LET'S ALL VOTE NO TODAY AND SEND A SHOUT-OUT TO THE BOARD: OUR DISTRICT IS BROKEN AND WE ELECTED YOU, SO FIX IT.

Passed by 800 votes, because the Board reduced the budget by 500K. Harborfields and Smithtown both went down to defeat because of the arrogance of their Boards putting up the same exact budget which was defeated the first time. Now they are on austerity...

We have a good business admin., but she is not an assistant superintendent, like in most districts. She is the 5th person in 4 years, simply because we don't give the title or comparable pay that others do. The 3 asst supes are curriculum, personnel + student services. We're top-heavy, and our admin. budget shows it. Too many titles, too little productivity.

Hello,

My name is Bob Carpenter. Many of you (South Huntington Staff) may know me from our friendly neighborhood
IMC department. What you may not know about me though, is that I upgrade and repair home computers as well.

I am writing to offer you an upgrade special I am currently running. As so many others, you may have a computer at
home that just doesn't cut it any more, but you can't afford to buy a new one. In many cases, for just $200 or $300,
you can upgrade your older machine to get a few more years of use before buying new.

I specialize in Dell's (big surprise huh).

I am offering this to all the South Huntington Staff because in my position, I have seen too many people being taken
to the cleaners.

Sincerely yours,

All it takes is one student not taking the test in a minor sub group to put you on the states list. NCLB really stands for No Chance of Learning Basics.

Maybe instead of blaming everyone for the influx of the hispanic population the residents should embrace us.We are good people and are very family oriented. If the past residents here in HS were such there never would've been the housing availability that there is now.We love.We learn. We respect.We...are growing daily.

Actually, WWHS did not fail the 2005 requirements. It just so happens that it takes two years of passing to be removed from the list, but only one year to be put on. So yes, WWHS failed in 2004, but had above average acheivement in 2005. Stimson however, failed due mainly for low Math Assesment scores. If any of you recall the tragic accident of a child being killed by a gun, this was after school after the first day of the math assesment. Albany did not allow Stimson a 2 day greiving period that the administration asked for, and thus the kids failed because of extremely high emotional distress.

Cancel the Newsday subscription? Anybody who reads the nonsense on this web site can surely handle Newsday. It's all the same stuff really isn't it? Half-truths, lies, and obvious attempts to mislead and sway.
