The deputy sheriffs wrote 6,075 from Sept. 15, 2008, to March 15 of this year) Another Demarco Quote("It's my opinion that a warning is just as effective as a ticket for a violation," he said.) tell that to the guy and 2 kids who DIED because the Sheriff would not get out of his car. Also he says when he gets the HOV grants it will be the same,not. ( police officers funded by the HOV grant wrote 3,038 tickets in the 2007-08 period.) So add 6,075 plus 3,038 ( if the Sheriffs even come close to that number) which equals 9,113 that is still 7,270 short. So what is Demarco going to do since he only has 300 Sheriffs and this was supposed to save the taxpayer he will give them hundreds of hours of overtime to meet the quota and it will cost the taxpayer more with less safety, Way to go Steve I guess this is how Politicans take care of people after elections, When is the State and the Feds going to look into this.

Mr Foley please do something before someone else dies read this everybody (http://www.newsday.com/news/opinion/...,4608183.story) Steve Levy is out of control and this whole Sheriff switch is a payback for DeMarco for backing him in the election the State and Feds should look into this.
