I heard about that story back in January...I can't believe anyone in the Levittown Fire Dept. thinks those guys could protect the citizens of LI when they already hurt one of their own...THATS HORRIBLE........And I can't see how any firefighter can feel safe going into a fire with anyone of those criminals!

Did the assault have anything to do with the fire department or was it personal problems? Sometimes the fact that there all firemen is just a tag line for the news to attach. If they weren't all fireman would it say 2 garbage men and a rodeo clown beat up a doctor?

Who said the victim ever went into thick black smoke? Hell, E-2 has a commish that has never been in thick black smoke, or a light haze for that matter. But he is GREAT with a radio...This incident happened outside a bar, right? What the hell does it have to do with the FD? All these guys involved have known each other since kindergarten. So, to be fair, I think that ANY news story should highlight the occupation of an individual. Something like " Plumber arrested for carrying crack" or "Computer programmer cited for speeding". Oh yeah, Newsrag already does that. I take it that all the people you work with you would invite to your house for dinner, and there is no one that you don't like. Get a grip, it is human nature to disagree and fight. The guys who assaulted a fellow human will be paying for it for a LONG time.

I like how the people who write in to this board have no idea what they are talking about. This incident that took place had nothing to do with the fire dept. The media made this into a fd issue. As for the people who sit down and write on this thing about Engine 2 i find it very funny. we can see most of you are in this fire dept especially from one particular company that has it own problems but the media cant show that so that is why no one knows.....you are a joke 2 the fd and community.

The company feels that beating up one of their own is worth putting back in office to keep the click together regardless that the officer is an ex-felon who is now in second command and once again and a probie for the next five years. How pathetic is your life when you have to pat yourself on the back. A true hero is someone who does the job without looking for the props. Anyone who has to "say" they are supreme simply isn't. Great men don't ever have to say they are great, others around them say it for them and I have only heard members from E3 talk about how "elite" THEY are. I've never heard anyone else refer to them that way. If Booth is the "savior" for Levittown, and so widely admired and respected, then why isn't HE in that back office? Obviously only the "youth" with their small, simple and easy to delude minds feel that way about him. Certainly the grown up taxpayers of this fire district have spoken by putting someone like the E2 commissioner in office instead. Lesser of the two evils I think. No one respects the brainwashed.....we only feel sorry for you.
