Enough is enough Kate Murray must go! In a time when Nassau needs an economic lift Murray is sitting on her arse and not moving through with getting the lighthouse project done. Its gotta be about the economy and not the town of hempsteads personal feelings or kickbacks they are getting from Philadelphia based SMG to stall the process.

Yes, forget the review process, approve it now.
Who cares about Water usage.
Who cares about garbage.
Who cares about congestion.
Who cares about the environmental impact.
Who cares about fire protection
Just give him the rights to the property now, let him build whatever he wants......
I mean, what business would not want to come to a state that taxes you to death, and considers families and business' who make over 250,000 "alleged millionares" and tax them even higher.
Might be nice is teh Islanders started with a winning team first, but once the arena's up, the cup will be here the next day, right?
congestion is bad

Maybe the lighthouse project is a good thing, but what about the traffic? You really can't even drive through that area now. Adding to it will make it a bigger nightmare.

Its quite easy - follow the slug SMG's paper money trail.
Mr. Kate Murray is a member of the Joe Mondello School of the Status Quo - whomever gives the most money, gets favors done.

Wrong cluc, thata Suozzi's club.
Crowe Deegans, thousand in County K's----big doonors to D's
Pratt- thousand in County K', thousands to Suozzi
How do you think he has a million and a half in the bank, his smile.
Let the County break the lease, it's there building.
Otherwise, let the study be completed, and maybe draft someone good for a change.

Let Wang do anything he wants. He's the best and he is only looking out for the residents. Just like all the honest businessman that got us into this financial mess. Mortgage scams, investment scams, real estate scams....they all started with honest businessmen. I'm pretty sure that if a contribution to her campaign is all that she is after, the deal would've been done already. Give Kate a break. She is doing what she was elected to do. I actually support the Lighthouse project but it has to be done right.

Suozzi doesn't care. He lives in Glen Cove and has a driver that takes him to and from work. Its always sunny on the North Shore. Outside of photo ops Suozzi rarely ventures more than 200 yards south of Old Country Rd.
Souzzi dumps on the Town of Hempstead- the Lighthouse project, his plan for affordable housing at the Holly Paterson Nursing home property (successfully fought against by the Community), and don't forget that SUOZZI wanted to put the goddamned Carousel up on the North Shore in Oyster Bay. Lets see Suozzi advocate for a multi-billion dollar nightmare traffic causing project in his beloved Glen Cove.
They should just redo the Coliseum and then Suozzi can move focus for redevelopment to the Cerro Wire property in Syosset- conveniently located next to the LIE and close to Northern State and 135.

Nassau's problem is that it is too close to that sewer they call manhattan and is polluted with ranger fans.

Before you demonize Charles Wang, for the current state of the nation, and nominate Kate Murray for Sainthood for always doing the right thing, as an elected official, let’s consider the fact that Town Supervisor Kate Murray, instead of holding her officials accountable for alleged illegal acts committed against Town residents, voted to defend and is paying all their legal expenses with tax dollars, for indefensible and alleged illegal conduct of some of her officials.
Ms. Murray, perhaps along with Town Board and other officials, saved their full time positions. It is my belief those decisions could prove potentially harmful to Town residents and their welfare…
The list of offenders is long. The noose incident and case involving sanitation officials, parks and building dept officials, and public safety. Although, the legal fees may not be paid for the TOH’s chief investigator, recently arrested for many felony offenses and misdemeanors, nonetheless he is still at his full time position in the same department and pay scale, with limited job responsibilities. There was only one full time official, John Loeffel, who upon request, resigned from his position as the Building Commissioner. The other full time public servants were spared, while others flew under the radar.
I also support the Lighthouse project and believe it must be done correctly. I, like many other residents, have concerns that politics, more then the welfare of Nassau County residents, may compromise this process and project. Who could blame Charles Wang if he decides not to develop the Lighthouse Project, and moves the Islanders elsewhere or sells the team? What business entity or person do you know of that would continue to lose millions of dollars, year after year?
Most rational people realize that this is a complex project and process. History is a great teacher. History shows the TOH is very powerful and officials have been slow to act where community issues and real estate development matters come before their board.
Hope springs eternal. In this case, we hope that Kate Murray does the right thing, for the right reasons, in a timely fashion, for Town and Nassau County residents.

Nobody demonized Mr Wang. He has to go through the process like everybody else. Don't paint Mr Wang as some kind of saint. He wants to make money. Maybe he should take his team elsewhere if he doesn't like the rules. Most people could care less about his Islanders and even less that he is losing some of his hundreds of millions of dollars. I don't feel bad for him. I feel bad for people in true need. Not a rich guy looking for pity with his poor business decision to purchase a crappy NHL hockey team in an old arena.

Refer to your prior post Clown Bozo subject "Let em": "Let Wang do anything he wants. He's the best and he is only looking out for the residents. Just like all the honest businessman that got us into this financial mess. Mortgage scams, investment scams, real estate scams....they all started with honest businessmen. "
What was your point here? You were sarcastic and put Wang in the same league as mortgage scams, investment scams, real estate scams who as you say got us into this financial mess, who as you said, all started out as honest businessman.
Business and business people's objective is to make money; profits. From what I have read Mr. Wang has a reputation as a successful businessman; not a saint, a businessman going through a lengthy process and losing millions of dollars. I did not say I felt sorry for him. What I did say is that he has options, just like every business person has.
In order for there to be a deal - 3 criteria or factors must be in place or there is no deal:
1) The buyer or and order developer, in this case, must have MONEY, or lenders with money willing to commit to a return on their investment
2) They must be dealing directly with decision makers who have the AUTHORITY to make decisions and
3) There must be a NEED to be met and a mutual benefit
