Al Gore is a political Chameleon. He used to be opposed to Abortion when he was a congressman and during his first term in the Senate. He supported the HydeAmendment and voted in favor of the Silijander Amendment in `984 which would have amended the Civil RightsAct of 1964 to include "unborn persons" Then in 1988 he became a big supporter of Abortion during his first presidential try. He went as far as co-sponsoring the "Freedom Of Choice Act" in March, 1992 in the Senate. The Freedom Of Choice act was more radical than Roe Vs Wade removing Parental Notification laws from Abortion in all states and allowing Abortions up to birth. Thank God the Freedom Of Choice Act wasn't passed by the Clinton administration. Al Gore is someone not to be trusted in politics. Al Gore said 3 years ago he always supported Roe Vs Wade. He downplayed his pro-life past. If he were president now he would Veto a ban on Partial-Birth Abortion and only appoint Pro-Abortion judges to the Supreme Court. Roe Vs Wade is a bad decision and should have been overturend a long time ago. It is very outdated. It was a Democatic Governor from Pennsylvania in 1992 named Robert Casey who brought Planned Parenthood to the Supreme Court. In Casey Vs. palnned Parenthood States had the right to Parental Consent laws and 24 Hour Waiting periods for Abortions. Sadly Roe Vs Wade wasn't overturned in 1992. Sadly the Democratic Party has entirely surrendered to the Abortion lobby. There is no tolerance for pro-lifers in the Democratic party but a lot of tolerance for Pro-Choicers in the GOP
