Who cares!
Suozzola himself could run, who cares?

The Democrats could run Bozo the Clown and still win in a landslide. All the old time GOP stalwarts are dying or moved to Florida to escape the high taxes. And the patronage slobs are just getting their 10 years in to collect a pension, then they are gone too. And who wants to help Joe Mondello any more - is it worth it - to see him enjoy a millionaire's lifestyle in Oyster Bay Cove at the GOP foot soldier's expense - I dont think so.

There are NO high ranking police civilians at HQ.

Funny thing is Mondello really doesn't like Kate because she doesn't do his doing, thats why he wants his yes man Santino.
And lets have the dems run the Town into the ground like they have the County.

These are very different municipal governments and circumstances. Is it true that the TOH is sitting on a surplus of half their budget and raised taxes? Now why aren't the TOWNS, VILLAGES and Schools reimbursing the County for excessive taxes obtained? NC really should not be footing this bill to their benefit.

Get rid of Kate Murray. She is corrupt. What about the whole building code scandal? Want a permit? Pay up

Murray is in trouble. Everyone I know is through with her. She has managed to piss off every Islander fan in the TOH and handed the Dems a wedge issue for the fall on a silver platter. Don't think for one second that Wang and Rexon won't be backing whoever the Dems put up.

The previous poster warns that every Islander fan hates Kate Murray so much that they will dispense with every other reason that they may have to support her and cast a vote against her solely on the basis of her objections to the Lighthouse Development plan.
Well, having been to a few Islander games this season and warn an Islander hat about town during the season; based on game attendance and community fan response, if I were Kate, I wouldn't be all that worried about an Islander Fan Backlash.
While I am a supporter of a new coliseum in stead of the current dilapidated and leaking facility, the fact is, if the Lighthouse plan was popular and noncontroversial on its merits, would there be this level of opposition?
Bottom line....abandon the lighthouse, build the coliseum.

Fact of the matter is virtually every new arena goes up with some major type of renovation to the area around the arena or put in an area which already has a real downtown atmosphere.
I wouldn't be surprised if the opposition by Murray in company is more about the fact that it would draw a younger demographic to the area than anything else. (mostly 20 and early 30 somethings.) An overwhelmingly Democratic age group.

Each year that Kate runs you fools always talk about her demise. Well fools you are only fooling yourself. Dave dennenberg could run against her and she will still win, unless of course she fails to give her workers a contract, then the rest of the base is history. The non union employees all got three raises this year. Gee I wonder why they had the money thenand now they claim poverty. Yep real poverty to the tune of a 170,000 surplus. Hmmmm the head dogs must need another raise. Whadda ya think. So who will the dems put up as their sacrificial lamb this time.
