Can anyone show us what activity the Sheriff's have been putting up on the LIE and Sunrise? Then compare those numbers to what HWY Patrol did! Can anyone tell us why the Sheriff's have NOT been attending TVB, thus LOSING desperately needed revenue for the County? Why are they not doing the ridiculous T-Stop data compilation on every car stop they make?

Did anyone hear about the Dwi arrest made by a dep sheriff a week or two ago? He arrested the driver and then had Islip Town impound the vehicle as a hazard. The car was taken to a yard in the 1st Pct. The company did an inventory of the car and found a LOADED .380 pistol! The 1st Sqd had to handle the situation. The pistol was not hidden in a trap, it was easily located! Why are the sheriffs getting a pass? I think we know why!

Heard a sheriff had a hit and run on the Suffolk/ Nassau border his supervisor told him to go lock the person up in Nassau (a violation) then she was DWI and now the case is being thrown out since he could not make a violation arrest in Nassau. Who do you think is going to be in federal court for this arrest not good old Steve Levy, and it is because they do not deal with this, this poor guy has to go through all this(Listen to his supervisor,be there done that and everybody in law enforcement knows that).When will the public know that Steve is not saving any money but because he hates the Sufffolk Police Dept and it is personel ( will not ask for Stimulus money ?) this is what happens. Like always Steve puts unions against unions. I think people are starting to see the picture. (wait till the saftey review board hears about the expressway incident when the guy and his 2 kids died thanks to Levy, try to blame it on Sheriif's, not their fault they do not do this day in and day out his day's are numbered, thank God)

I heard,I heard. We've heard a lot of things...doesn't make them true. Some part truths. And, if there is any truth to what you say, there has been plently of people that have dropped the ball on calls. Stop trying to stir the pot. Everyone is treading water right now and you're looking to monday morning quarter back things you've "heard". If you don't know what your your talking about I'd keep the mouth shut before anyone embarrases themself. And, patience...numbers will come out! Everyone, stay safe.

3 cases and all 3 are wrong.
Case 1 deps have been going to TVB and have done very well. Does not matter cause the state gets almost all of the fine money. It costs the county more to send a officer to tvb than they get back in fine money.

Case 2. No arrest was made. Islip town impounded an abandoned vehicle. Then they found the pistol when they inventoried the vehicle. Deps had nothing to do with it.

Case 3. The subject in nassau was arrested for felony dwi drugs. Not an infraction. Started in suffolk and then crossed into Nassau where the subject was taken into custody. Perfectly legal arrest.

The only thing you got right is that Levy hates cops. He also hates any public employee. Treats them all like crap. Hopefully we cam get rid of him in the next election but I wouldn't count on it.

Fact my son gets assaulted and is hit in the mouth. Responding Suffolk County police officer arrives and witnesses my son bleeding from his mouth where his teeth went through his lip. The police officer says "take your son to the hospital and if he needs stitches you can file a complaint at the pct". My son receives 6 stitches and we proceed to the pct, The Detective had to get the PO to come in off the street to the station to sign the complaint, because my son was bleeding from the mouth and had been visible assaulted at the time the PO arrived at my home. The Detective said the PO should have done this at the time of the initial contact.The PO was than instructed to get an arrest warrant for the guy who hit my son in the mouth. There are assholes in every department so maybe we should all stop throwing stones.

I dont know about the others but the charge was dwi drugs. I was there when the blood was drawn.

Of course your son must be a saint , or is he just about to turn his life around!! Funny how every hood in Newsday who gets busted or drilled was just about to turn his life around. Maybe you should be worried about why your son was getting his ass kicked.
