Let's give Gerard credit. One year after devising a no lose strategy to win North Hempstead and Long Beach and sweep to a primary win for dinapoli, then getting creamed, he is back in the good graces of the party and now a trusted member of the inner circle. Now they'res a guy who can be really be trusted! Good luck Democrats!

Why does it bother people when someone lands on his feet no matter which administration is in? Democrats often have choices to make when we face a primary. Because you pick one person, does not mean all Democrats can't come together for the general, and should. If we eliminated half the Party after every Primary, there would be no one left. Gerard happens to be a good Democrat and a valuable asset to any Chair. There have been enough good Democrats disenfranchised because they supported DiNapoli. At least, in Gerard's case, his talents were recognized. I wish we had someone like him in Hempstead.

You believe that anyone who supported Tom DiNapoli is automatically an "enemy" of Tom Suozzi? How paranoid can you get? Anyone who believes that, should not be in politics. Sometimes there are three or four people who run in a Primary. Does that mean that all who voted for the three losers are "enemies" of the fourth? We have met the "enemy" and he is us!

not everyone who supported dinapoli is an enemy of the suozzi people. but gerard Terry was the biggest enemy. I'm not concerned about gerard. He got his when the results came in on primary night and dinapoli had his rear end handed to him on a silver platter. great strategy job gerard!

Gerard is weasely and paranoid, which kind of go together as characteristics. He turns up in weird places and he comes across as awkwardly mysterious. Suozzi has done the best thing with someone like that by putting him in a nearby cage, but not too close, and keep him under control.

Gerard is just a weasel who was supposed to be some kind of expert strategist.....great job though, his good friend Tom Dinapoli really had it handed to him last year by Suozzi's forces.....Jacobs doesn't seem to realize that he's keeping someone close to him that will stab him in the back at anytime....

Putting him in a nearby cage? All well and good. Paying him a salary, or arranging for him to be paid a salary, with our tax dollars? Not so good. Insulting, in fact.

It's a well known fact that he is constantly in foreclosure and bankruptcy. Check the relevant Court files. If he can't manage his own business, why assume he can manage ours?

And as for his political expertise? Show us a winner. Show us just one candidate he's backed (from the start) who managed to win. There is, of course, a long long long line, starting with John Matthews, of candidates he's backed, at first, and then backed (as in stabbed), once things stopped looking rosy for them.

This is just one more in an increasingly long line of Suozzi disappointments. If I wanted Republicans in county office, I'd vote for them.

This is the sort of thing we used to complain about, with good reason, when the other guys ran the County. We were promised by the party leadership that if we could work hard enough to get them in, they'd be able to change things. And we did work, hard, in losing year after losing year.

Now that we've won, the leadership has gotten jobs, and we have the empty feeling we've been lied to. We also get to hear it from our Republican friends, who are right. We really are no better.

Terry is on the Board of Assessors. That means he has to listen to Charlie O'Shea pontificate for two or more hours a week. I don't care how much they pay the man, I'd rather spend two hours a week scrubbing toilets with my tongue than spend two hours a week with O'Shea.
