David Feinberg was "cut" by County Attorney Lorna Goodman. David Feinberg served as a committee man for twenty years, circulating petitions for Democrats in hopeless causes. Feinberg handed out literature at Ocktoberfests for obscure candidates who nobody cared about. Feinberg did the grunt work of a feeble feuding political party. And what did Lorna Doone Goodman and her cronies do for the Democratic Party in Nassau in those lean years: Not a blessed thing. They were partying in Manhattan with all of the real Democratic movers and shakers. For goodness sakes, Feinberg circulated nominating petitions for Suozzi in the primaries. That was an act of love. Did Ms. Goodman knock on people's doors on behalf of her new boss? I wonder.

Lorna Goodman stood upon David Feinberg's shoulders to snatch the brass ring, then kicked poor David in the teeth. That is what the Suozzi Administration appears to be all about.

Feinberg stood by the party as his party's chairperson was taken away in handcuffs. Where is the Party for Dave Feinberg?

I'm glad to see others have met Dave and shared his debates and insights. It's a shame on the Democratic Party that he's been treated the way he has. It makes me wonder if it's worth carrying petitions for the current crop of County ingrates. I heard that there were some problems with David's work at the County Attorney's Office. But, he deserved better from Tom Suozzi and Jay Jacobs. After all, there are still several incompetent Gulotta-era deputy county attorneys in Lorna's office. And, there are others who, though not totally incompetent, aren't competent enough for the management titles they have. Lorna kept a lot of Republican era hacks. (Hey, what is that goofy Republican fund-raiser Susan Tokarski still doing at the County Attorney's Office?) What I heard was that David had the bad luck of pissing off Reinharz. Nassau County loyal Democratic boy vs. a Corp Counsel defector and member of Lorna's top heavy administration - not a chance that the loyal Nassau Democratic boy would keep his job. Suozzi should have moved him somewhere else - I'll bet David would have pounded the pavement getting support for the Water Authority!

David, by far! I don't know who's a better lawyer because I never saw legal work produced by either of them but David definitely has more compassion and personality. Meredith seems cold and aloof and certainly out of touch with many of the issues that Nassau Dems care about.

I seriously think David might have been a great advocate for the Water Authority. He has a good memory and remarkable mind for details. Plus, he has the guts to go up to strangers and try to convert them to Democracy. I think he could have gotten the word out to Nassau residents about the benefits of the Water Authority and then, perhaps, they'd have put pressure on their State legislators to pass the bill.

Thanks for the compliment - I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Like I said, David has a good heart and a good mind, though he didn't always use it the way most lawyers do. But, he had & still has a lot to offer the Democratic Party. I hope David has finally found a job. I also hope that Suozzi will appreciate him and utilize his talents for the benefit of Nassau County.
